why do you think it is so hard for most people to quit rs?

 

personnaly i dont play this game (well ocasionally i log in for clan events). i used to play it but i was never good since i couldnt spend more than a half hour doing the same thing ( fishing, woodcutting, etc.) lets face it, runescape is one boring game.

 

BUT i used to dream about having lots of money and 99 range. deep down i knew i would never achieve it, but the illusion kept me going, and every level was harder than the previous, until i realised it wasnt worth it. i realised i was wasting my time and eventually i stoped playing.

 

i think the same applies to pure clanning. for me it isnt fun to spend 4 hours of my weekend facing a computer instead of doing something else. but i have the illusion that my clan will become #1 or maybe i'll get a promotion.

 

so this is what keeps me attached to this game, what about you?

If an update or something made clanning impossible I can guarantee you people wouldn't quit.

how can you be so sure? just asking really how do you know "we" wouldnt quit. do you still play this game?

I like calling in on IRC to see my old friends whom I met clanning which is what kept me playing all those years back.

 

Now I don't play long games like that where you have no time limit, I play HoN (Dota) where games at their longest are 70ish minutes.
