The way I read it they are doing away with special attack and replacing it with 'abilities'.
So each weapon will be able to do a variety of abilities unlike now, where there is only one 'special' per weapon.
Could be wrong..
Is this game even worth coming back to?

Jesus everyone is too serious. If you like it play it? Simple as that, doesn't mean you have to spend every last hour of the day on it..
