I'd say MM was the first clan, and any pure "clans" before them were just small groups of friends out pking. Clanning in classic was rather difficult, there were only a handful of established clans.

I really really wish I was there :( sadly I missed it though!

If you want to know, we had a lil ingame vote as to how we would attack you, going through the crater and attacking from that side won, so thats why we went round the back. This isnt true anymore, they started recently. You can now recover your password via e-mail. I also think they e-mail you about other things as well.

 

If this is so, I assume it's safe to assume that the email address will always contain something like @jagex.com or @runescape.com.

Most often it will be [email protected] but people should only open e-mails from jagex that apprear in there Inbox, not there Junk. You can edit the data in a e-mail to change the appearance of who sent it, however it will always end up in the junk folder. For example, I could send a e-mail from [email protected] that looked like it was sent from [email protected]

Moral of the story, NEVER OPEN EMAILS IN YOUR JUNK UNLESS YOUR EXPECTING IT!

Doesn't work on google chrome. So take care if you use chrome, use the offical client to log into runescape, always direct yourself to the webpage if you need to.

Your all saying that it's there own stupidity that people fall for these tricks, but some can be rather convincing, especially if your young and not used to these things. Even vets fall for these tricks, when they become complacent or are over tired. No one looks at the address bar everytime they log into runescape.

As stated earlier a better prevention to getting phished is to always play the game on Swiftkit or the official Runescape client. If you ever have to log onto the website to change your password or anything like that, always type the address in yourself and navigate yourself to the page on your own. Never log in off a link some one else gave you, look at it by all means but always type in www.runescape.com yourself before you log in anywhere. N I mean never log in to runescape from anyone, even your friends. It's not hard to make a name that looks similar to there's in a attempt to phish you.

totally bro but you have to hand it to new school. the new tactics are pretty unbeatable. if a old school clan came back exactly the same as it was before and fought tlp or something in p2p. tlp would win hands down. p2p back then was just chaos. basically f2p but with dds and d scims and nothing else. now with pures getting smarter and working more for their accounts barrages and chins have been added and that caused the invention of the spread. old school would get demolished. but i do admit old school was much more harder and disciplined but new school has its ups too. new school relys on how clever you can be and how you can ******** your way to a victory. its a shame of what happened but thats that. new school has adapted well with our new environment and i think weve perfected our warring style. but when old wildy comes back i believe we would just adapt. but it would be like old times. to be honest i like the new school better because theres alot of rivalrys and lots of drama. it excites me tbh. gives me a reason to fight. if i were just fighting for loot then that really doesnt cut it. runescape has gotten super boring and the only reason why tons still play is because of clanning. clans nowadays just want to be known and heard about and want the glory for themselves. tbh i like this. who doesnt want to be a runescape legend? i believe theres much more passion and emotion in new school. i dont care what you say. its a cool feeling knowing you just demolished your rivals. you actually feel connected you know. dont call me a nerd. we all feel these emotions. just cant wait till old wildy again and there no escape for anyone lol. fight till the death and no wars that cost you 10m.

We got lot's of loot today and found some clans. They beat us once, we beat them the next. It was a fun time.

New school tactic = sit in a non bh world in clan wars n scout 3 worlds on lvl 20's until you find a cluster. Next go to said cluster then run back into clw when it get crashed then cry on purewarfare about how you were winning but then some one crashed the fight you crashed.

Websites like this one didnt exist back in the day (apart from RSC but they didnt do much for pures), so pking was about loot, not worrying your gonna look bad on PW. As a result clans had nothing to loose really (apart from 1 return set)

N it was cat and mouce, once you were in the wilderness. You were in for good. No hiding on CLW for 2 hours then pop out into a cluster halfway though to claim a victory. N no loosing a fight at dwarfs running back to CLW remassing then running back out starting a 2hr return fight. You hopped at GDZ, walked from GDZ to Rune rocks, hop at Rune rocks, walk to GDZ etc etc etc... N you had lvl 3 scouts constantly hopping around.

As for the leaders, IMO oldschool leaders are more concerned with getting loot, where as new school ones are more concerned with the image of the clan. N not taking a loss.

get 5 people you trust and start with them as your core, then recruit everyone you see! When in the wild try n get every pure to join your clan. Start off with low requirements then boost them up when you start to get around 15+ to trips. Register a IRC, a Forum, a runehead and get a teamspeak/vent server. When you have a few members advertise your clan on fan sites like this one. Just keep going from there. Make sure your core is strong and you should be just fine. When your pulling 25+ thats when you have made a respectable pure clan.

CPR - Fighting CH and not loosing anyone, then having TR and CP crash only to defeat them loosing 1 person! N we had equal ops!

MM - 96-0, nuff said...

MM if you want a different style of clan. I think that you would fit in quite well with those stats.
