Alright registering wasn't a problem, but it will not let me download the client, infact when i do, it downloads something completely different, and it still isnt able to let me play. You guys should have a webclient like most so you can just click and play when registered. This site seems like a **** around, and its nothing but a pain in the ass trying to download your server. I dislike it, and to be honest, i dont recommend it to anybody. It's more of a hastle than any other private server, and it's absolutely nothing like 2006 lmao. I'd definately stick to battlescape or soulsplit or something.

06scape just folded up the ponzi scheme so we are now the ONLY version of 2006 runescape that actually has a community. Come give it a shot.

Really wish you guys would just do a f2p world, it would help bring people to the server. Since F2P pking was a such a big part of runescape in 2006 and people who liked f2p low level clanning would have another server to play on since they can't on bs. Another reason why it would bring people is because there is no other private server has a f2p world and people would finally have server where they could f2p solo/multi pk on.

 

Please think about it and give the suggestion to the develop team.

Glad you had a good time. We've had 1 or 2 updates every day for the last week even through christmas. The server is just getting better every day.

Yes i know, but a proper format with an active staff member responding to questions you may have is always going to be far more interesting.

f2p would be a good option to grab people!

Yeah, i know it's not a priority right now - which is a shame. But getting a large playerbase first so that both worlds stay populated is a big condition before we can expand like that.

Alright well when you guys get bored of Battlescape and want a server from the golden times of runescape feel free to come give nr OSS a shot.

Not sure how the two are mutually exclusive? One is an 06 server and one appears to be a mesh of claws and chaotics and everything else 2010+?

At the end of the day, Near reality OSS is specifically tailored to players who loved playing in 2006 and don't want the lousy updates that followed later.

I'm staying loyal to 2006Scape. However, if Jagex intervene, I may consider this server as a suitable alternative.

Multiple pure clans are opening up, the server has only been open for around 14 days now.

 

We are hitting 600+ players ONLINE every single day. within a month there will be multiple established accounts.

I know that there are a lot of main clans on Near Reality. Since you only have one world those main clans will go out at the same time as the pures... No pure clan will move to this i guess...

I was admin during the version v8 & v9 era of Near reality main server, back before any customs etc when it had only 1 world. They had 5 active main clans and 3 or 4 pure clans.

The same will happen to the OSS soon enough.

Don't really know much about battlescape but i know for a fact that Chachi is developing a server which will be huge. As for 06scape, it's a non issue, if you actually pay for a poorly developed server and wait 2 years for it to be made from scratch risking a ponzi scheme then that's fine.

At least do me a favour guys, come try it out the server is very well coded. If you don't enjoy it no worrys. But im sure you will.

Just remember the barrier to playing the game is high, as it was in 06. When you start out, you will be a noob. And you will have to use iron scims etc. It's all sorts of fun.

No plans to raise the xp rate. The entire point of the server is to have a useful account, a great economy and a good community. So far it's been working well.

arent gonna get everyone to migrate from one server to another, probably will crash when 500+ people join your current playerbase

We had 1.4k players on the main server and 750 players logged in on the OSS last weekend and the OSS is only 2 weeks old with no paid advertisement.

The Near reality community and servers have been around for 5 years now, if it's required a whole new server will be bought to cope with the load.

I truely hope you guys can get us to buy a new server, if we needed to upgrade the current hardware due to having so many new players, what a good problem to have.
