Paradox?

Recommended Posts

Post some paradoxes here. Ill start with some i found, they dont need to be amazing or anything. They can be simple or complex.

A girl goes into the past and kills her Grandmother. Since her Grandmother is dead, the girl was never born. If she were never born, she never killed her grandmother.

If the temperature this morning is 0 degrees and the Weather Channel says, "it will be twice as cold tomorrow", what will the temperature be?

Answer truthfully (yes or no) to the following question: Will the next word you say be 'no'?

What happens if you are in a car going the speed of light and you turn the headlights on?

Can a man drown in the fountain of eternal life?

A man says "I always lie". Is he telling the truth or is he lying?

First: That isn't a paradox. You can quite clearly kill your grandmother and still exist.

Second: That isn't a paradox. A weather channel would never say that, and the answer would be 0.

Third: That isn't a paradox, but is the closest to a paradox out of all of these. It's just a play on words though.

Fourth: That isn't a paradox. The light would still be visible, it would jus thave no beam to it.

Fifth: That isnt a paradox. If such a thing existed, then no he couldn't.

Sixth: That isn't a paradox. He's lying. If he does lie all the time, then his statement is truthful - therefore he does not always lie. If he does not lie all the time.........then he does not always lie.

I'm sorry but none of those are paradoxes as they all have logical answers, paradoxes are self contradicting.

A paradox for Christians and other monothiestic religions, but not for Athiests: The problem of evil - The fact that evil and suffering exists incompatible with the existence of an omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent morally perfect god.

Read the entire thing, he said in the past. Also, your trying too hard lol. The point is to make you think, its just good for the mind, and some of them are amusing. Have a little imagination (rare in people these days)

Def telling that headlight one to my friends next time we get high lol ... that one just reminded me of something a stoner would say
