Chaotic, but for dangerous preps or trips, I'd suggest using a Greater Runic staff, it allows you to mage without risking runes, which is nice. Also, it absorbs some spells that are cast on you (if its the spell you have charged) which can be nice. I'd get both if I were you. (I have 2 greater runics, one charged with Blitz for trips, one with barrage for dangerous preps)
