  1. Took a break from the game for a year, now im back and I need a new place to crash and meet new people. I have experience in F2P warring, with dabs of P2P.

Name is U Got Chased if you happen to remember me from awhile ago ;)

Hey Dude, I remember you, I'm Mikey :)

Well, the majority of ex-Negative are in TH and NME.

TH is on the brink of closing, so I'd suggest NME. :)

While reading this topic, it is advised that you watch this video:

After owning everyone in the african jungle we have decided these cunts over here need a slice of that zebra pie. So we decided we are gonna all make some LPC pure's and own everyone cuz we go herd.

The leaders of zimbabwe are the same as the leaders of our LPC Team.

Be ready to fear the zebra.

We are looking specifically for people who are interested but could not be ****** training a new pure and want a group of people to do it with. We also need some 35 def ranks.

#Zebras to Discuss how much goat we will be kicking in the coming month.

  3. rofl CP had 58 votes on best f2p mining clan and eop only had 40? can u mods even count or what, lol shame

yeah lol , its only an award but if you do it , do it good.

    Just to clear up misunderstandings.

These votes were not counted manually. I created a simple script which methodically counted the votes. It did this by scrolling through each page, and consequently each line of each page, and detect the text that signified a question (IE: Best F2P Clan of 2011). It would then store the text to the right of that (IE: EOP) in a .ini file.

If you don't understand how ini files work, you won't really get this, but essentially everything is stored as ID=Value. If the text found (EOP in this example) already exists, it added one to it's value. If not, it created that ID with value 1. It would do this for each question.

That is how votes were tallied. For that reason, if you put "EOP tbh did really good at the end of the year" or some other nonsense, your vote was literally saved as:

    Eop_tbh_did_really_good_at_the_end_of_the_year=1

And wasn't officially counted as an EOP vote. After this, I manually went through and told the code what clan/person a vote was intended for if it wasn't clearly stated. If I couldn't tell at first glance, I discarded the vote. If you voted for two clans/people (IE: FOE/MM), I discarded your vote.

Understand that there were several thousands of votes. Counting these manually would be both enormously time consuming, and more prone to error than an automated script.

If you're determined enough to re-count votes yourself (whether manually or automated by a script of your own), and can present a convincing argument in favor of a miscount, I will rewrite the code and see if the results differ. Otherwise, accept that any error was only marginal and didn't seriously alter any results.
