The death of the wildy should have been the bigger blow. We didn't have any way of fighting other clans for quite some time and it destroyed something that was so integral to the game I thought people were screwing with me when they told me the update.

 

The pure community just gave up with EoC and too many didn't make a legitimate effort to make it through. I can't speak for all, but I know the majority of MM gave up before they even had an idea of what they were doing. People who didn't even play the beta constantly complaining about things they have no idea about, and even after release, too few even tried to pk. I can understand quitting if you don't like it, but the fact is most people acted like sheep and bandwagon quit before they had even the slightest idea of what they were doing. It takes maybe a day or two to know what you're doing, it is not a huge time investment to "relearn the game."

 

This is overall disappointing to me. We make it past the end times of pking, yet we let EoC stop us. I just don't get it.

The only time we lost preps was when we went into the dead season last year (~decemberish), we lost a good number of our quality members, and Loki did go inactive around that time. So it was me leading by myself, which was sort of new to me, with a bunch of people who were either new to the pure community, or from ****** F2P clans. So yeah we did go on a losing streak around that time with me leading. However we were out of it in mid January lol.

Then I continued to lead Havoc v3, which was all new faces, and we managed to beat you out numbered, TLP, and FOE all in one week lol.

Fatality was pretty dominant the start of 2012 as well. They hit a small slump in early summer, and TLP basically took over until the end of summer where Fi was dominant again.

 

No doubt in my mind that Fi was the best clan of 2012. They got to the point where your leaderships were scared to fight them lol. Even though they were complete faggots about it considering the 2 year slump they had before hand, they still were the most dominant in 2012.

 

FOE was pretty untouchable in 2011, and IMO FOE was the best clan of all time.

having fought both clans a lot in p2p clw and using them to improve ourselves, i'd say CPR were a lot tougher to beat, although that could also be because fighting cpr so often made us better when havoc came around which allowed us to beat them fairly easily

havoc were definitely better at standing at the top of bh steps and "gwasing" 5 people an hour and claiming to have the best trip ever every sunday though.

so, from what you're telling me - consistency is everything

from the examples I've shown MM seems to get their ass handed to them consistently week in and week out clan wars or wilderness, with a few good wins here and there.

So as I've said before, my opinion is MM is no good as far as quality, in either server, in wild, in clan wars, doesn't matter. They won't win without a number advantage.

People can believe whatever they want, but that's what I think of them. If anything this whole discussion has just backed up my opinion even more, considering every single point you make about MM having some decency, has been shot down. Aside from the pulls, which I do have to give to MM, it must be really hard losing virtually every single event and still managing to pull as much as you do. So props to you for that.
