Yo so I heard rs took a turn for the worse. So here's a topic where you can discuss what games are best to play after moving on from rs.
Post yor favourites, also prefered genre. Will you keep playing MMORPG games like wow? or maybe FPS going oldschool with counterstrike. Or maybe completely mix it up and play more mindful styled RTS games like Dota2 or sc2?

Haha no, play as you will, telling people to quit was sort of just a way to get myself to at the time. Now I can finally look back at the game and remember it as a good time had =D

Played 2005-2007 2008-2011 on/off. Mostly with pure accounts until 2010
Don't see any old names, probably won't stay long enough to get to know people again.
Just dropping by to see how things are going. Pure world looks alive still, that's good ^ ^

When I joined my first clan, the freelancers, we we're mostly newbies to the game, others were 2 year vets, some that even played with pures back in rs classic. I recall back to when I applied I was amazed by the organization created by an online community, a group of 50 or so people who individually were nothing, but together made something awesome, our clan. We did great things in that clan, but more than anything i remember it as a place for good friends, a place to learn about getting better at the game, and learning about things beyond runescape.
Back then there were flipping adults in our clan, I remember this mod ruins_hero was a mother, and some other guy a grown dude with kids. I generalize, but everyone was so much more mature and everyone less cocky back then. The game was refreshing compared to other things. No word explains the gameplay better than adventure.
Nowadays you get the same basic things in clans, but I guess its the small things that changed that rattle me. Pk vids getting popular and honour kind of dissappearing around the same time. Wild getting poor changes due to luring. Eventually all my friends left the game, jagex came out with updates that obviously were geared toward the younger audience. Overpowered weapons came out, which made the game exciting for the next month or so but in the long run didnt work or made the combat system screwy.
Basically so many small things happened to the clanning community its hard to keep track. But i'm sure we can alll agree the obvious kill shot for pures was the wild getting removed. I mean you guys outlived defence updates, turmoil, runepure buffs. Its amazing pures are even still kicking today.

The game Runescape 2 getting more than 3 years old, along with many of the other things mentioned which are irrelivent because the game is just a dead horse that people love to beat.
If you don't have any insight on gaming communities, here's some help. MMO's get ****** after ~3 years. Simple as that. Jagex corp didn`t have the sort of long term planning required to keep Runescape an actively interesting game.
Not to mention your demographic audience is 12-16 year olds. A forum community made up of this group range along with a dead game is just asking to end in a cancer type way.

High tier maxed mains are usually teens to young adults, unless bought acc. Pures are -mostly- kids just trying to enjoy the game w/ least effort possbl

I quit and am playing Starcraft 2.
Results:
i. I've met dozens of real cool people, all surpassing the average maturity of an rs player 10 fold.
ii. Real time strategy games require constant thinking... critical thinking which actually helps you in real life situations. Compared to grinding skills which gets you nothing.
iii. Barcrafts. Any large city will have a barcraft organized via facebook. Getting drunk with your friends (or random people) while watching world renowned players fight in major tournaments for 1000s in prize winnings and of course the glory.
iv. On a day - day basis i'm just happier. RS really drags some people down without them realising that theres other **** out there 10x as fun. It`s a total bummer
thats nice, now try to stop posting on rs fourms on how we all should quit.

whether you quit or not I couldn't /care less, rs is fun but also blatantly ****** is all. Its the people who make the game bad

diablos 3 not that addicting as diablo 2, the classes kinda blow and the new skill system disinterests me

From someone who doesnt play this game: this finally looks like a decent update
If you pk, you should either not care or be very happy with it.
-> And I probably dont have to state the obvious. But if the new combat system is bad for pures - why not go main? Pretty much solves all your problems as long as your good at pking.

The update will no doubt improve the game, because as it stands runescape has an over simplified PvP system that more often then not comes down to luck.
Though most people play RS cause they like the simplicity. Im guessing a new target audience of younger kiddies will take on the game. Meanwhile you're already addicted so jagex doesnt give a **** about you. You'll either rage about combat and start fletching yew logs instead, or you'l happily eat whatever the new update it is jagex throws your way.
Maybe clans will diminish and the wild will get even shittier. In the end they still recieve your money on a monthly basis so they're happy.

Used to be one of the hardest capes to get as a skiller, though I doubt that will stay.
Still major grats, take advantage of game updates for sure

Considering every single clan closed... every new clan will be a "V2" or a "V3". Might aswell just say its a brand new clan with a bit of the past. I don't see the need of carrying history over that only relates to like 5% of the clan.
Basically as long as the guy above is leading your clan, your gunna have a good time.
