Signed up for 'Intro to graphic arts' today. Wondering if it's worth my taking or talking to teacher to get me up'd into maybe a higher class where I can learn stuff at a more experienced level. Anybody taken the intro coarse before and what's included in it?

At my school all you do is follow out of a book. You don't get to do much of your own thing. Maybe this class is different.

I know some of the seniors have been working with annual on making pages and stuff. If there's nothing where I can do to express my concepts onto canvas, I will get out of that class and keep lookin' at tuts and things and choose a different class lol

take it, dont act like you know everything

I didn't say I know everything, but I know some stuff. & if I'm relearning everything I've come to know by myself via internet, why not learn at a higher level?

Noo... I took a couple computer graphic's classes in school though, didn't teach me anything about GFX... It was like media and making magazine's.

I'm cool with making magazines, considering when I get cinema 4D, it'll be hella fun

I do Graphics at my school, and it's just pointless. You just follow out of a book the whole time. :/

Hopefully your course is different :)
