DISK BOOT ERROR?!

"disk boot error, please insert system disk and press enter."

 

HP Pavillion Computer.

 

I don't have the system disk anymore.

 

No there are no disks in the computer

I kinda had the same problem a while ago, got a new version with disk though :/

Happened to me, bought a new hard drive and now it's working like a charm.

Umm, make sure nothing's plugged in. iPod, usb, etc.

 

Then, when you're starting up the computer, at the bottom it should say 'Press 'X' to enter Startup' or 'Press 'X' to change boot order' (X is either f2 or f8, I can't remember right now)

 

Then, you'll enter the BIOS editor. Should look like this:

 

 

Go over to the 'boot' menu, and make sure that 'Hard Drive' is first on the list.

 

If that doesn't work, run system repair.
