1. the point of pk trips in olden days wasn't just fighting other pure clans constantly for 2 hours

On several occasions I've tried to encourage pure clans to find action elsewhere. Most visibly in my less active last years in FI, where as an active F2P pker I would give locations of massers teams and actual main clans that could give a decent, relaxed fight and good experience at spamming and piling. Never once did these fights happen. Why? "No, we got a track on [rival clan]". In my experience most clan ranks seem to prefer the competition more than the actual PKing, the aftermath on PW more than what happens during the event, and consequently getting payback or keeping your position the following weekend more than having fun in the game. It has been like this at least since PCL era, perhaps even earlier. I can't say if this is a feature among the ranked members only or the memberbase as a whole, or whether the people who wanted to have fun PKing simply decided to quit clanning (like me).

Back to your original thought. You say that you enjoy the pride you get from skilling your stats and equipment. This is not so for me, not in the least bit. For the last 7 of the past 8 years in this game I've played for one reason only, PKing. Anything I have to do to be able to compete with other PKers, I will do the easiest way I possibly can. I bot, I pay people to quest for me, I do all of it. The more Jagex makes the ability to compete in wilderness subject to how much effort you want to put into skilling and questing, the more I will cheat to get to that level. I'd rather not cheat, if it was still possible to PK the way I want without cheating. For me, it hasn't since Pest Control came out.

Very much unexpected looking at the recent performances from both clans.

1. Nah. Scouting doesn't work if you intend on fighting other pure clans. What might be worth considering is fighting the other clans that this runescape has to offer. I've always enjoyed killing mains more than pures.

Patriotism doesn't sit well with me, but I suppose I have to admit I have some love for my country and its people. Government, freedom, laws, are all derived from the people, so any love I have is certainly not love towards an institution, but love for the people who share these values and uphold them. On top of that, I do love the scenery, the national one and the familiarity and memories attached to the places closest to me.

Proud? A weird word to use to describe your feelings towards people you don't know, or things that simply exist as they always have. I'm somewhat proud if my parlament makes a good decision. I might be dissatisfied if the decision is bad. So my pride is not something consistent, like love, but something that changes according to the actions of the people.

Nice to see EOP giving you fights when I let them leave single for once :thumbsup:

and I need not mention the usually Fi/Nippon's team of mains sniping us throughout our fights, but unfortunately not even all this aid was enough to save Fi from punishment.

Interesting. I don't know UK economy well enough and don't have the time or interest to study the budget in detail, but it looks rather promising. The real GDP growth forecast is, curiously, the same as here in Finland for the next year, modest but quite realistic IMO.

You are close minded if you think its corrupt. They are not, they are just to busy fighting among themselves to get anything done. Politics are now just a tear down of an opposing candidate, rather than a mediator of our Nation.

Honestly, I think your nation has just as bad a government as it deserves. It's completely beyond me how you can pretend to be a parlamentary republic (or, even more disturbingly, a democracy!) with two ruling parties and such a one-sided (or, in some cases, heavily polarized) political field.

Too many tree spots, the resources are too easily transported (teleing), too many possible worlds and takes too short to cut down and fletch the bolts. It's nice to see Jagex making an effort but I don't see this reviving PKing in any way.
