Then HP it is! That is your brand and if it fails you, then you have failed yourself for not thinking about what you are choosing .. Good luck friend.
  2. Temp is a folder that stores all of the files you view/watch, well most of them on your browser. So you must have passed it on a page while navigating or your sibling seen it and it was stored in your folder. It is nothing to worry about. Also, has anybody actually seen the footage? It is very interesting. I do not think virus can be held in those file extensions also.
  3. It is good to hear that you do not care about the money Karl, you should value such a well constructed and active site. I may pop on the IRC for a chat later, is it active? I am more of a forum user as opposed to IRC but I will give it a shot.

Do not go with the generalization and think that all big brand names are good laptops. You would be surprised at how terrible Sony Vaios and MacBooks are. You need to find a brand that is reliable and never lets you down. I currently have a very nice Acer home laptop which cost me about $800. It has 3GB of RAM and 250GB hard drive with a blu ray player and a 17" monitor. It is very efficient and has only broken once and that was due to the charger. I find it good for multi-tasking ie. listening to music, playing runescape or football manager while on MSN and maybe browsing some forums. It runs Guild Wars pretty well however I am not sure about WoW. Acer is definitely a good brand but I have heard good things about HPs and Mini-Dells. Let me know which you choose.
