  1. Obviously you're not doing it right then. Was the best time I had on scape. Everyday knowing that you could go on at whatever time and something fun would be happening within the team, fucking around on vent, lure trips that were more about chatting on vent and waiting for people to come than actually luring. GWD loot everyday, being the best on the day whether it was a run-in or mini-war, encouraging younger members to train harder and get better at different aspects of the game. Arguing for the stupidest reasons with other teams (was so stupid looking back on it now) and it's funny watching all the current teams do it, too :teehee: Anyone who isn't in a team is missing out imho.
  2. This, why hide it, ppl don't hide the fact they play CoD... COD is almost universally fun and about killing middle-eastern scum/blowing up ****/headshots. Not many people like MMOs, let alone one with a lower standard of graphics than other high standard MMOs, that is based around medieval times and takes month/s of not having fun to get one maxed stat. People get a maxed COD account in like 1 night and it's fun to play during leveling. When I played, parents and my sister knew along with like ~5 close friends and 2 irl friends who also played.

    inspire;

Good use of wireframes, good text placement, lighting is good and good effects. Only thing I can comment on is even though you've sharpened the render and blurred the background to try and create a focal, because the tag is monotone and more or less one-coloured, the render blends into the background too much. Different gradient map selections and it could have been even better.
  4. Thought title said Outbreak vs Control and I was like, oh **** Control doing work... Still good effort from them, I'm just not as impressed now that I've realised  Edit: Good numbers from Outrage, I'm happy with the team community's progression this year..
  5. GIMP ftw, I make all my tags on GIMP. Like Aidan said, Deviantart is good and I also like to use www.planetrenders.net from time to time. Just go to their forums and search around.
  6. Actually had a bit of fun making this one, took me about an hour. Good luck to everyone else that enters
  7. No skill in hot dog eating contests but people still have them. The topic is about top 10 tanks, not whether tanking takes any skill or not.
  8. That's how you make a tag... very good job man. Blending, contrast, colours, c4d placement, sharpening and even text placement are all amazing.
  9. **** yeah. Taught all our members to tank properly as soon as they joined and if they didn't bring the right ****, they would sit. Simple as that. Discepolo U G0t Servd Furious Gfed Owned Obese Inc Knekt Furious Hax Bow Infamous Ex0tic (31 pray ftw) Graves Range Shimmy Cory/Gotochoback Aspirationz/Nectarded Masta Evo Xbl Nick S Tr 4u Xgotkillsx & heaps more. Basically the best clan warrers from TLP + original members from TTC.
  10. 2 month old topic is 2 months old, guys.

    Beep.

Would love the original DJ stock/render if you have it. Blends really well and overall a good piece but could be even better with more work.
  12. You go to the armour statistics screen and take a screenshot from that.
  13. Don't see why you're getting mad for being caught out. Just don't ******** and be lazy to win a runescape-related forum's SOTM. What's the point?
  14. The water + pier are part of one image - the treeline another - the sky was brushed - birds were added - hippo was added ( :D ) - text and ripples added - reeds added. I google searched 'nature', scrolled down a couple of pictures and found this: Refer to what I said in my first post, adding a hippo, some text and contrast with a bit of brushing of the clouds that were already there. May as well use the original image and slap some text on it...
  15. Used to play for mini's and my team. Then I quit. Then I came back for 2 weeks when staking came back and got cleaned. So I stopped playing again. So I guess you could say the only motivation I had for this game was wanting to say I'm better than whoever I beat and being good at it. Although I was never willing to do that stat-wise, **** wasting that much time. I never had over 1600 total level on any one account during ~6 years of scape.
  16. Like Aidan said, the entirity of the leaf should be sharpened, not just the centre.
  17. First off, thanks everyone for the replies, good to know that after these last few tags I've improved enough to go from 3 replies to 11 when I get on the next morning, haha. Hope you guys are enjoying my recent work  Remember when I told you sometimes I keep using the same general steps over and over again to improve? That's what I've done. It took me 3 tags but everyone seems to be happy with the outcome of this one so now I can move on. The major differences between the two tags you posted there are: -one background is made up of carefully place renders, the other is made up of displaced c4ds and stroke paths -wireframe placement in the newest tag is far better as it not only creates a better flow but also seems to be connected to the background -in the first, I used more effect c4ds that I just downloaded yesterday whereas in the older tag, a lot of the effects are simply displaced and brightened brush strokes -bubble c4ds were used more effectively as I brightened them and sharpened them to create a more effective foreground -the focal point is far lighter and distinguished in the more recent tag -far more gradient maps and contrasts were used -finally, no shitty clipping mask on the side to fill up space I know I said to you most of your sigs are similar and it seems like I'm being hypocritical but the difference is, I'm actually doing it on purpose. Sorry if I put a hole in any bullshit argument you were going to try and make.
  18. Reason why I never got into clanning as much as others. As if I'm going to wake up that early on a Sunday and Monday morning, especially last year and earlier when I was still in school. **** that.
  19. Colour and a BnW version.
  20. Fine, won't waste anymore of my time giving you advice except for this: stop being such an arrogant little prick or no one is going to want to help you.
  21. I like Aidan's; Frewin's just looks like a stock that's been altered/contrasted
  22. Aidan, I don't have to prove anything to you. I'm giving you valuable criticism in regards to what you shouldn't be doing and I know these things because I've had similar things said to me over the years. I also don't see the point in a sig battle where most people would vote by what they think looks best and not the actual quality of the tag itself.
  23. All I'm saying is, you're not changing up your tags, check this:
  24. Thanks for the positive feedback. I am sure everyone will benefit from your post. I'll put it simply then? Don't waste your entire inventory on brews when mini-wars are about precision piling and knockouts; not surviving the longest period of time 1v1 and hoping that 14 hitpoints will help you survive getting piled. Using the right amount of brews/necklaces/rocktails in combos will allow you to escape a pile or survive long enough for the rest of your team/clan to pick off a few of the opposing clan's members while they're still attacking you. What's the point of heaps of brews if you're going to die straight away when you get piled? Bringing the correct inventory will turn a great defence into a great offence as well. You need brews/pnecks to tank. 1 guy is always the pile. so 1 guy has to tank the other 4 people in a 5v5 (because one on their team is also the pile, so in a 5v5, you shuold only be tanking 4 people max.) Piling is the most important thing in Mini's. However, Speccing others randomally causes them to have to eat, helping the person tanking out. Basically, he who tanks the longest wins the battle. I take so many brews because I overload, and I CAN take that many b/c Ovls restore back up without restore pots. Generally, the more brews you take, the longer you can tank. However, you do need some rocktails. I just honestly don't understand how someone can survive getting piled using almost only necklaces and brews.
