I'm going to be leaving the game and community for good next september because I'm moving out to go to Uni. I don't really want to play the game after that and I know a few other people who are too.

No, you will go uni, hermit away and reopen cy only to close again after half an hour as you feel like making another dead community topic. Community is dead now, not long untill runepures are allowed in the community and personally it's time we started letting runepures in.

Why? because the goal will be to be as low combat as possible with the best offensive bonus for pking. High level runepures will find it just as hard as high level pures do because we all know mains > runepures > pures. The sooner the runepure is accepted into this community the better. Right now the goal is to have the best stats at lowest possible level. Even now it's not good for pking having a pure which would be "godlike" back in the day. I believe allowing the runepure would bring back old school pkris (more melee based pkris in p2p) rather than standing on a hill autocasting barrage. My 2 cents.... if I could go back to 1-20defence I would but it's not going to happen. Like it or not the days of the 1 defence pure are over.

At the end of the day, foe has about 10 decent members and 70 youtube products fresh from soulwars. The only reason they have been so dominant over the past year is down to their options. IMO MM is overall a better clan all round these days although the old FOE (the foe who beat fi down by 17) was the greatest ever pure force to date.

Doubt RSC will be doing anything related to 1 defence. I have read several threads on RSC about pure clans/pures in general and the majority don't give 2 cents about pures. However having some sort of combat cap could attract pure clans to fight in the tournament.

 

Your exactly right, but that is the attitude the mods are trying to change with this tournament. Many of them are ex-pures themselves, and like to see more pure clans posting their night out topics on RSC, as well as getting involved in clan discussion.

 

They have acknowledged that pure clans have been let down in the past when in comes to tournaments for the clan world.

 

Don't forget RSC has some strong sway with Mod Timbo and Jagex for the next J-Cup, so if you'd like to see changes in the J-Cup format that gives the small 80-100f2p cmb pure clans a chance to win something and not just the big clans like MM and FoE, then they need you to want to be involved in upcoming RSC tournaments with postivie feedback I can pass on.

as far as the pure debate goes, how can he suggest for me to go rune pure for better defence; when I'm keeping my defence down for higher offense... is this not a concept of being pure?

 

My defence is higher than traditional pures, but times have changed - being 1 def may deal alot of damage, but when you take into consideration how much damage you're taking in return, combo'ing is much more difficult to do on 1 defence as you have to eat more often.

You only hit higher because of bonuses and prayer, this makes you unpure. Ch only accepted you because they accept anyone. Never the less, nice account/stats.
