Chicago To Decriminalize up to 10 grams

Chicago could be about to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana. Alderman Daniel Solis will introduce a proposal at next week's city council meeting to make possession of up to 10 grams a $200 ticket, with up to 10 hours of community service.

What do you think could be potential impacts of this?

I personally think it is a step in the correct direction. It is time to realise that the drug war is a bust; the same way that Prohibition was a complete failure. What they are doing economical, is allowing drug cartels to control a multi billion dollar industry instead of taxing and using it to help get the US back on our feet. Not to even touch basis on the benefits of Hemp, if we were to allow it to be grown.
