The best way to learn photoshop is to Beg/Borrow/Steal.

 

No lie, go join a GFX forum. Borrow their guides/tutorials. Try to mimic there work. Then next time use your own selected images and twists with the concepts and lessons learned.

 

If you see a GFX you like, ask someone how they did it. Most GFX'ers are friendly and help others out.

 

Steal. (Loosely speaking) DL stocks/c4ds/renders/effects/text/fonts/brushes. Many sites offer these for free, Deviantart for example. FringeFX probably one of the better GFX forums around for all medias (photo, digital, traditional etc etc.)
