We didn't take anything from EOP apart from loot at the weekend. When you mass recruit your members from another closing clan, don't expect them to stay, that's one regret I have was accepting half the idiots from E (not all as we ended u with some really great members as E was a great clan but the majorty of people we accepted where useless and only here for the short tearm). You didn't slump DP into closure, I'm not really sure where your getting that from. A slumpting clan doesn't beat FOE in a p2p prep and MM in a f2p prep in the same week match opts. Our leaders quit runescape and decided to call it a day on the clan, nothing me or anyone in DP could do would of changed their mind. Sorry to say but your arrogant if you beleive that EOP had anything to do with DP closing, although like I said before rivals will always argue and although EOP couldn't really rival DP in a fair fight you did seem to crash us at every seen chance you got. You claim to do anything it takes to win, in my opinion wasting games necks and countless supplies to the point where I'm returning in **** gear just makes me bored. It's not really "beating the ****" into the other clan either as you claimed because in the end the other clan will start doing the same and there will be no clear winner as was the story with Fi and EOP this weekend. If there was a set of rules and a ladder or offical list (made by a non biased group of admins) who would sit down and evalute planned pkri's. For instance all won planned pkri's got you 3 points if you won etc et etc I don't want to get into it but you know the idea. Things like this promotes planned fights, even ml sizes because if foe can only fight mm twice in planned fights they could only acheive 6 points compared to EOP who could fight TLP, FI, Carnage and Fearless. IMO this doesn't mean the biggest clan would be the best, it would be performance based. I like this kind of idea, idk if anything like this could ever take place though. It would force clans to stick to the old slogan "quality over quantity" and make the community extremely competetive and hopefully bring back some of that respect we all had for each other pre pcl. The question is, is there an orginisation willing to take the risk and make a ladder, mod it and manage it well enough to see an idea like this become a sucesss.

Yeah I agree, one clan will always go one further just to claim the win. I just watched a few vids of oldschool rs when kids ran about whipping/smiting in wars, actually realised how much fun it was then compared to now. It's a shame the situation the game and community is in atm although there is somthing we can do to improve it. I doubt clans would ever want to make pure clanning more fair, ballanced or equal because it would envolve changing pure clanning completely. If returning was off for a start, maybe a rule on multi spells like main wars would defonatly make warring more fun and it would stop idiots who return in **** gear completely. I know this might sound extreme but having a ML cap would be sweet. People wouldn't just recruit as mant 20 defence as you think because then there account is high combat and useless for pking outside clan wars, also it means there would be more arranged fights between clans due to knowing everyone's ops are fairly simelar. If everyone is getting fair fights then the need to crash because of bordom is low. /discus

Idk a bout that, right when bh was released and in old pvp it was pretty active. Either that or that's when I had the most fun pure clanning after the wilderness update. It's defonatly starting to die now imo.

Foe and mm enjoy a good rivalry and have for the past what? 5 years yet I don't see any of their members taking iron knifes to return with. Also? what games have you actually played competetivly? I played halo2/halo3/cod4 and a bit of mw2 and yet there is rivalries although they tend to keep it friendly and not let it ruin their reputation so this proves that there is respect on online games. Also if this thread is pointless, why are you waisting your time posting on it? I think you go back and actually read the thread, then discuss how to improve the community, if not then just leave the thread please.

Not that it would ever happen but I don't think it would if MM split also :o there would be like 4 decent clans to pick from who would most likely have decent non crash pkri's.

Cheers walli bbz, well I'm seriously considering going 45 defence/60 attack runepure atm. We all know pking is **** on pures, clans are basically the only thing keeping me pure atm. This game has so much more potential and I feel that I'm not getting the best out of my time as a pure. If I can't find a clan to settle in I'm going to gf my account with defence and get questing. Shitters disputing, weekend topics, 30 defence and litrually turning up to fight with salmon and iron arrows. make a clan called epidemic and destroy the pure community as we know it l0l jk they would close after 6 months because they made mahatma angry

Was in foe for about 3 weeks and left and went to an mm trip as an intro and didn't see one crash in about 10 trips roughly from both points of view. I also spent a little time in Foe before and they didn't crash much, this was about 2 years ago when pvp was released after the pcl era. TLP rarely crashed DP either, not sure if they crashed other fights or not so it's all based of personal first hand experiance with the clans I mentioned. Please stay on topic though, do you have anything else you wana add?

If you did that with 2 decent leaders then it actually would make the pure community a lot better. Even a member cap would help things although we know this would never happen, it would defonatly make the community more competetive. I put a lot of it down to the presure the leaders are under, maybe if clans where smaller then it would be easier to get along with other clans due to the fact that there is more clans about.

Well after reading EOP/FI's topics about this weekend I would just like to point out a few things I noticed. Has it become more important to get a win on a free website rather than have fun at a pk trip? After reading those topics it pretty much sounds like it. Clans bragging about returning in iron knifes, argueing about scores and generally ******* things up for everyone else. I have seen community on different games die within weeks due to people just being ***** about certain things like this. Jagex has made it hard enough for us to be sucesfull as a pure on runescape without all the **** clans put each other through. Somthing has to be done in order to keep this community competetive and respectfull or clans will continue to close and leaders will continue to quit. I think every clan worth a mention here has suffered loosing a good leader or going through a rough patch, it's basically impossible to recover from. Clans are making it harder on themselfs by delibratly going out of their way to **** other clans over. Like crashing planned/unplanned pkri's, roasting each other on pure warfare topics, disputing scores and even returning to fights in rag gear just so everyone else beleives that your clan won. If leaders showed a little bit of respect between each other then half of these problems wouldn't even occur, it's plain arrogance and stupidity thats letting this community down. /dicuss what you think could be done to improve the community and to stop all this ****. inb4the tl;dr

lets finnish this, full out. lol jk, but yeah I don't remember ever being beat by eop? ever on any server or in clanwars. You crashed us a whole lot but for the majority of the time DP was open you hid from us, declined out pkri's and crashed our fights. You did have a few spells in p2p teamed with pot/ir although yet again we would clear you and then you would crash. Not a personal attack on you, just pointing out why I think the clan you lead/are in is ****. It's a shame to see the pure world slowly being ripped apart bit. Two big clans who still do things the correct way. TLP - couldn't really fault them as they have never bothered me. EOP/Fi still alive just although a few more weekends like this could see the closure of one of them if not then one of them slumping again. DP/E got RIP'd by leadership and new clans can't really compete with current clans. I can't remember the last time I had fun at a clan pk trip. Was in Foe for a few weeks and that was the closest to fun clan pking I have had in a long time. MM trips are kinda fun also but apart from that, someone or some orginisation is going to have to put somthing on for pure clans to compete in a ballanced/fair way or clans will keep dying out and eventually this community will be gone which saddens me. When clans are just gamesnecking back to fights with trout and iron arrows and what not it's clear somthing needs to be done to keep the pure world a fairly competetive community. my views on the pure community, off topic i know but have fun reading it and argueing against me anyway :)

No we slumped after E closed. We dominated Fi/Eop almost the entire time we opened apart from at the end like I said. The funny little quote about the malice war, yes we lost when we had 15 people more than you but also we managed to win the first two rounds anyway so you still lost the full out ;) well done though you guys did well in the last round. ot: two decent clans here, can't fight fair so lets use iron knifes and beast the pure clan word L0L JK LETS KILL OUR BANKS AND SLUMP HARDER.
