  1. jus sayin :whistling: I take it back... you ******* suck at calling ily Heh. My experiences. Jibs -especially in the old wild. He made really epic scenarios and plans that worked. I barely remember when we didn't have Ventrilo, but he was really great there as well. With audio we dominated places like Gdz and Volcano with his calling. Bob started up taking all the calls and he became great as well. Building on top of Jib's experiences, he managed to control Epidemic as a unit even with 200+ in one minimap. One of, if not the, along with Jibs, best callers ever, I don't even need to clan hop to listen to anyone else. In Vas Por... The greatest non-audio leader, accomplished things I cannot describe, in game, and out. You just feel powerful with this entity behind you. I'd think even plode himself would be a lil' scared ha. EDIT: IVP was a caller, so this is relevant. Even if there was no audio used. Prateek, never heard you after Epidemic, but you did well. Once Bob/Jibs, all of our backup callers go down, you take control and can handle large scale wars. Great caller. Not sure how much better you are now, or if you've even been in other clans, haven't kept tabs on the pure community for a while. Luke - Heard he did well in Dp. Was in the same boat as Prateek in Epidemic, great caller. Poison was good, he had other past experiences that created this. Rage. Past Fi leader, damn great in our many preps. Really high up there, too bad he's forgotten by many. OH cannot forget Zo. Haha. He's up there, going 20 vs 120 and he even got away a few times. Just off what I hear, I know Walli, New Recruits, 13th, SPW, and most of the main leaders of every clan are good. But I cannot describe them without having some time being under them.
  2. When I pked, obviously not. However that was about two years ago. Things have obviously changed, a lot. But I've went into the wild every couple of months to check things, and it still feels terribly wrong to bring a tele so I never do. It's an odd feeling, even in private servers I don't tele. If I ever come back to 'scape, I'll probably never tele pking solo or with a clan because of that same "honour" code we used back in the old wild. I'll stick to it.
  3. Lol, that's pretty cool. I don't know what else to say.
  4. random creatures raping my fish(as shown in this guys avatar)
  5. Actually looks fun. Clans should do more wars like this. Good job Eop and Px. Rot made a topic about killing Brut when they crashed, go help em out or something. http://forums.zybez.net/topic/1495000-reig...r-vs-brutality/
  6. Evilsexc - So great, without protection prayers either. My undisputed #1. Fear Figment - Excellent higher level pking in those days. I Mahatma I - Pretty damn nice, specially with some other Mm pking with him at easts or castle. I Xx Xx Xx I - I loved this, for more modern(well, 2007) pk videos before they took wild away. Hiei The Pk - Very well done, specially fighting his levels. Oh, this says Favorite RuneScape Players, not favorite pkers... Was confused after reading all the other responses. Jibs - Greatest Warlord of his time. (my opinion, obviously) IVP - Knew how to whip up some ownage, on forums and in game. Greatest in-game leader, without audio. Bawb - One of the best community leaders, challenged himself to go higher and became a great Warlord himself. Plode - Not really a straight-up troll.. But damn raped everyone who went against him anyways. Ownage on forums/irc/in game, just not a caller because lack of a mic. Cha0s Pur3 - Community was the choice of profession for him, in Runescape at least. Astounded at the great respect he holds everywhere he goes, on any forum or chat.
  7. Ahh but remember that these clans will still follow their own rules, not others. I'm sure the added defence will make it easier to make money and have more access to money-areas(quests as well). It shouldn't take much to learn the organization rather than what to use. I was on a account from TR and in their TS one trip a couple months ago, I didn't know wtf to use from the bank, but the organization is amazingly easy to learn. So I just tried to copy others with the rune and mage in inv, was awesome for the first 45 minutes. Didn't know how the **** to return though, so I p2p->tele gdz->f2p world, and was back in action. I'll say less than two months, more like 3-4 weeks to flatten out skills/tactics, and gather info from other main clans. It's different, but it's still Runescape. Played the same way as any other player of Runescape.
  8. Eh, we'll see the responses in a day or two. I'll happily read them over and discuss this idea with anybody. Hopefully this thread flares up to be a large discussion. I'll add my own opinion once(if..) I finish my lesson plans for tomorrow, teaching can be kinda time consuming..
  9. [About the title, Canadians are supposed to use the British "defence" but everything we use, like word, or firefox, tries to change it to "defense" with spell-check. Specially on things we read, like American magazines and such. The influence of the USA is felt strongly here. ] Anyways, I got tired of the "omg 30def pure or no?" threads over the last couple of months. So I thought of a different clan discussion topic; Maybe lists? Predict what the rankings would be. Try and write as much as you can. I haven't been in the Pure world for a bit, and never been in the main world even though I do read RSC. I want some detailed explanations. How would your clan deal with recruitment now that it's opened up to everybody? What about the whole "crash-war" thing going on with Ddos'ing and hacking n such. Would Ex-pure clans ally themselves, with each other?
  10. lol^ Good job Control, more clans should take this into consideration. Hopefully we can withstand any other "updates" Jagex does to defence just to entice us. Make being a true "pure" something to be proud of again. Not some crazy-**** account with like 37.33 defence for some super-laser duel weapon gun thing update that'll only get nerfed.
  11. Just going to respond before trolls roll in. Not just some core members, all core members. We have people who were in Epidemic for less that a month and already wish it was open again. Some that never have been in Epidemic wish to join. I'll look at your side, true current closed core clan members don't enjoy their current clans, I'll believe that, but Epidemic was amazing and you cannot in any way disprove me. Not trying to start something, just stating truths and, of course, my own biased opinions, right?
  12. How is it unfair lol? It kind of is, a good portion of the pure world is holding it's breath at the thought of it. you know you want to... He does, but the leadership team would have to put so much energy into the game again if it were to live up to expectations. I don't know if they'd do that for Runescape again, but I guess there's a chance.
  13. The answer is simple. Maybe we wan't to have a spy. Maybeeee I'm the spy. Dunno why, but I lol'ed. Good job Control and also good job Striketeam for stepping it up. Get your name out there :P
  14. .. It means you closed. There's a difference between closing and being "cured". "There's a difference between giving up, and moving on." Words of the great Z_0_M_Z_0_M The above quote has no relevance to the discussion really, or maybe I'm just too dull to see how it is. Explain if you have to, otherwise... Hi. How are you?
  15. Get friends who are experienced in these things and learn from them. You might try and follow advice from here, but you will find it's harder than you think. Best thing you can do is gather a following who will be with you when you open, a good 10-15~ people. Good luck.
  16. Watch this, it's kewl :P I must admit, as I will never get into professional movie making, this video will probably be my masterpiece. Lol'ed. Anyways it's pretty good, it's the Great Pure War '09 Red V. Blue with over 600 pures running around lol. I think you'll like. I had a bunch of pictures from '07... But we got a new computer. Oh well, there's some I uploaded before that happened. Was proud of the 60 mage so got a picture :P A friday activity check ;o WHAT NOW DRUNK? Nah kidding Cp were way to organized to mess with on a regular basis lmao. (I'm pretty proud of that 20 attack... It owned lil' guys in f2p 1v1.) Great rivalry. One of the funnest parts of my Rs career. MFUCVKERS. Nah jk was funny to run into Final Ownage Elite, we got a huge pile on Val (Cha0s Pur3 for those..er..2k09/10/11ers) and took him down, plus like 6-7 others, then got demolished lmfao. Who has the pic doing that? Also, tanked all my food with no overheads vs Foe. Was proud of myself here lol. Yep.. Tom r nawt hawt or what? :P When we won the Firestrike full out war vs TD. Was pretty good fun lol. In Absolution, pulled 40 out of a 52 memberlist. Great memories. Great job guys.
  17. Yes... I remember that picture... Lol'ed.
  18. Lol'ed@^ Anyways, proud to have been Epidemic. I remain clanless to this day. I've checked in some of the communities, came so close to joining 3 or 4 of them; I stopped at the last moment every time. Forget auto-join on IRC, if Epidemic reopened, I'd auto-apply. I'm sure there will be quite a few more than me who has done this, or close to it. I respect either decision, I'm enjoying life, but sometimes I get bored and hop on the computer on weekends to check in. If not, I'll continue as I am and perhaps our community will stay alive for a year or more. If reopening is possible, I'll slightly change my schedule to accommodate several hours of Runescape a week. Great job my fellows. I feel the nostalgia building up, I can't believe a silly game would have done that, but the community of Epidemic has done it. Damn great job Epidemic.
  19. So if you had this real cool friend in life that had a pure and came over with a laptop(assuming he knows you play rs lol) or something and asked what you were doing, what would you do. Ignore him and say that your being disrespectful? Ha. I've met personalities that I seriously would of liked meeting in life, even on Pure Warfare I've met some, people that I know are great in life just because of the way they talk or type. It was the same back when I played Rs, I'd log on, go training, meet someone and talk for a few hours. Asked him to come to an Epidemic trip, and guess what, he stayed loyal till the very end. I did this a few times, all were great members as I taught them to use IRC, Ventrilo and forums. Ten loyalists right there. Some watch as opportunities slip away, others don't know the opportunities are there. Gone forever.
  20. I'll not side with Cp or any other clan on the subject. I'll just state my view and leave. What does it matter what "world" you're in? I agree with the; but it seems that it's better to ask Pures outside the community than to recruit within it as you get the people who got bored of the next clan. Chain seems to be doing what he knows, which in his case seems to be in-game recruiting. You all attack him for what he is not. Just because he doesn't bend to your vision of the, "Pure World." I don't want to attack anyone here, but you're all stuck up with pride to be matching your version of the Pure World. Doesn't it seem odd that our oldest and most loyal members come from masser clans? I came from them, same with most other people that joined up pre-Bh. In Pre-Bh every clan would ask someone to come to a trip or two to see what it's like, but during the CW/Bh era everybody came into this, "NOT ON ML, NH," stage which has lasted and expanded to this day. Anyone old school from Mm/Foe or any old clan that can back this up? I remember it very clearly as I hung around Foe/Mm forums a lot and with some of Foe's ranks before Pure Community, and during the reign of PC I joined up with Epidemic. Friends were normal at trips. I even went to Foe trips as an invited friend right after Pvp came out and E V2 was opening. By the way, the picture with someone spamming join cc, I don't really agree with that, but it's a method to get exposure, is it not? tl:dr - you're all(somewhat) going through a stage somewhat similar to puberty, however this time(I'm sure most of you went through it already...) there's no one who wants to tell you different.
  21. I believe i was when epidemic went throgh a died/closed or something, then came back ( i know i never left/clan hoped from E) I liked TD to be honest, they had very mature leaders, and kept as a family, i had a hell of alot of respect for them. Not sure how they are now, but the oldschool TD was an awesome clan. sorry if it came out that way in your eyes, but really its the whole clan world together is what my point is, it just kind of changed / went downhill. Ive realized the game is pointless for awhile, ide never really play / train outside of the clan ( i was always failing to keep up with the requirements) And it wasnt just Epidemic that i was addicted to as ive stated, it was the whole Pure warefare/ Pure community( wich what it was back in the day) that kept me going. It was being in a family i guess you could say. Lets say i had a stressfull week at school, alot of studying / tests, ect. Ide always love to come home and realize i had 3 PK trips with people that were like family to me, but ive never met any of them. I think that might part of the answer im looking for. I always looked up to the "Oldschool" clan leaders, who've had leadership skills for so long, and not just in the pure world. Just the Mature poeple of the clan world, who took RS to a whole new level for me. I was a huge masser before i joined E, and when i joined E, it was completly different. I looked at rs differently. I wasnt just fighting in clan wars to win loot at talk trash. I was helping supporting a family, almost like a sports team, just by just playing a stupid ******* online game. I didnt care if we won or lost, i loved the people who i was with. Not just complaining about Epidemic, but when i was in TD for a short period of time too. They had a very tight knit family, and it was great to be able to be in that family. Guess thats whats missing. It really isnt about the fun times, being with people that are almost like family, supporting a team, its just about winning now, doing whatever you can to win, weather it's gain 30 defence, DDOS a website, or crash a clan war, its all about winning now, and its just sad in my opinion. --Mara I must say, you've impressed me. You've truly matured into your own identity. Good discussion and hello Maras0l, long time no talk? Anyways, I've quit since Epidemic has closed as well. I don't plan on coming back to Runescape unless of course Epidemic opened. Hope you're doing well in life, I think I am doing pretty good lol.
  22. You've changed m4n... You're so subtle now, almost too subt- wait no. I'll go along with it. The Dreaded, Malice, Devastation, and of course Epidemic.
  23. Oh still waiting for my clan to wake up. Wouldn't come back to 'Scape without it. Oh sure I'll try out Pking, but I doubt I'll become active. One of the few who did quit after their clan closed. edit: click the video in my sig
