You think that its a coincidence that the number of google hits has dropped significantly? I'm sorry but your wrong. The same percentage of people, albeit very small, find runescape by googling it. This number is a random sample of the whole rs population and its safe to assume that it can be used to measure web traffic. Said it already but I'll say it again: alexa.com tracks direct web traffic. The graph for Runescape.com looks exactly the same as the google trends graph, just doesn't go back as many years. I know its true too because Worlds 1-7 used to always be full, now your lucky to see W3 full. In general, there are far less people playing now than before (remember, pures only make up a very small percentage of overall players).

You do realize EOP posted their topic first... A clan as old as them doing this is pretty pathetic. So you thought it was a good idea to post it again? Sorry but I don't get your logic. If someone posted something false about you, wouldn't you want people to see your side of the story? If that doesn't make sense to you then your logic is obviously flawed. But like Flankk said both topics should be deleted/closed so this doesn't escalate anymore. 1) you can post right on their topic, no need for your own, then pm a mod with evidence and get their topic locked 2) people post fake crap about my clan all the time (TH), and we ignore it because having a bunch of 15 year olds from PW being scared of us isn't exactly high up on my priority list erm mods always say " if you desigree with their topic go post your own" guess what we did so. If you think this was the best way to handle things or that this topic will make everyone think more highly of your clan, then you are a silly goose. Just look at the posts, apparently EOP does this all the time and will not be getting anymore fights. I'm not saying EOP is innocent, I'm saying it would have been to your benefit to be the mature clan here and stop all this nonsense, but you decided to make your own topic to add to the flamefest and now you are just as guilty as them.

What good came out of EOP's fake win, honestly idc about the win but why should they be able to claim it when they clearly cheated. This topic was just for proof that they didn't win on a fair note. I would rather both of these topics get locked/deleted than sit here and argue over a prep. It's their topic, if you have a problem with it, pm a mod evidence or w.e and have them close it. Now that you sunk to their level, you made yourselves look like a bunch of idiots too. Its 1 prep... god forbid you didn't make a topic for every fight you have.

There used to be a few pure clans and a top 5 main clan that were strictly Lithuanian. Haven't heard from them in a while though so its kinda surprising rs is still big there. Another surprise is Canada - rs is way more popular there than the US, except for Florida randomly.

Yes... but googling does give a good representation of how popular a site is. Web traffic is measured on Alexa.com and it shows the same thing, just doesnt go back as many years as google so I posted the google graph.

Obviously the clan world has shrunk but I wouldn't have guessed it was by this much. Take out all the random botters/gold farmers and this game is less popular now than it was prior to 2004. Its also interesting that after the wilderness update the graph seems to have stabilized a little bit. Perhaps this means the community will start to grow again?

TH - joined because I recognized a lot of names back from dead clans I used to be in a long time ago. unique things - Pretty much everyone is 18 years or over so we have a very mature community. Most people have known each other for 4 years. We have 2 admins, a global mod, an ex-PC admin and an ex-PC global mod yet refuse to post our topics/recruit on here.

I'm American and about as big of an NHL fan as most Canadians. However, I agree it is obviously much bigger in Canada than here. It has definitely been on the rise though. People are beginning to notice how good the playoffs are. I firmly believe if ESPN wasn't anti-hockey and gave the NHL as much coverage as the NBA and showed a game here and there, hockey would pass basketball in popularity.

That is true. It depends on personal preference. In the NFL, one play could make or break your season. In a 7 game series, the hatred builds up all series and you really get to see a lot of emotion (see: Alex Burrows and Maxim Lapierre VS. the Boston Bruins).

I don't know enough about Euro/Aussie sports to include them in this poll. Sorry. If your choice isnt listed above, then post your answer in your reply. For me - NHL, and it's not even close. It is superior in almost every aspect - passion, intensity, nonstop action, tradition, hatred, skill, you name it its got it. 2nd is MLB followed by March Madness.

yeah man they win man let's all become LPC's because other competition there is easy as **** because we don't have the leadership to compete with real clans! Even though we claim to have an experienced leadership! even though the people in that clan played no part in E's success! lol

No such thing anymore as med level clans cuz everyone has kids that have 99 stats. Except for like Enemy. So I guess they win.

Wait. I just thought of a solution. Why don't we ban the claiming of wins in wilderness topics and only post what loots each clan got? And make it so only preps and full-outs determine how good the other clan is? Or just eliminate wilderness clan warfare topics all together? Not really sure why you quoted me there?

Few things. 1- I have seen numerous times people put on their topic for opts say "30+ ? (please confirm)" Then in like the 10th reply someone gives them the correct number of opts, but they just dont bother editing it in. 2- I agree that specific opts of each fight should not be included 3- The main problem in the wilderness today is RETURNING. The whole reason these stupid pissing contests occur is that Clan A fights Clan B, Clan A kills most of Clan B and starts to leave, assuming they won. Clan B then all regroup and return and kill stragglers, so they now think they won. This is a tough situation because both clans technically cleared each other. 4- Crashing sucks and no clan should claim a win. Including the crashers.
