Updated the first post a little bit.

For the future, I'll be getting 99 WC in my free time. Doing 99 Herb over 2x weekend. Getting 99 Farm in 2 months with trees/assisting. 99 Summoning sometime... And probably 99 Prayer just cause.

Oh thanks for the info, wish I knew sooner. 33 Def and 80 Prayer really don't make that big of a difference either. As long as you have 10 Defence for the Slay Helm, it's all pretty much the same. I need to use prot prays on 95% of my tasks, so apart from maybe an addy defender, the only advantage I have is using fewer pray pots.

Thanks for all the replies on this topic (along with my other ones) Suicide. Lol, it's been hard. I was planning on training Herb, but then Double Xp Weekend was announced, so there's no way I'm doing that now. I've been very tempted to just go and accidentally kill 1 Black Demon (my current task). Also, out of all the effigies/lamps I've gotten in the past few days I almost selected Slayer for maybe 70% of them. And, yesterday I went to kill Bork for charms, but halfway through I remembered that he gives 250 Slayer Xp, so I had to telly out. But I think I can do it! Ooooooh, that's means I'm the 6th not counting botted/swed/shared.

Childish.

After a very very very very long journey, I will finally be getting 99 Slayer. I first started slaying seriously just before I maxed out in October of 2008, when I got from 60->70. Then in December of 2009, I got back into it and started going for 80/85/90. I continued slaying hard until April of 2010. I then took a break from Slayer until last summer where I no lifed my ass pretty much every day for 100k exp a day. Once school started up again in September, I stopped slaying yet again to do well in school. Then during xmas break, I nolifed like never before and got 4m xp in 4 weeks. I got 98 Slayer the day before going back to school and was planning on waiting until May to get 99. Seeing as I was 1m XP off, I did not imagine it'd be possible to get it during school. But, unfortunately, I was too tormented by my proximity to 99 Slayer, and I managed to slay some here and there and now I find myself setting a date to finally get 99 Slayer less than 10 days away. I will be Celebrating my 99 Slayer by hosting a party and perhaps a drop party afterwards. Even if you don't know me, I think you should attend this party, because this is a pretty rare accomplishment. I believe that I am only the 8th pure in RS to get 99 Slayer legitly. The first 7 being Puppy Poop, Vlooieneuker, 5tr v5 d3f, 13th R4nger, Outofrange10, Dutch Lmfao (botted), w3 n3d m0n3y (shared acc). Please correct me if I am wrong. Managed to do this: I can now assist in 2 higher level effigies ! Also, 70 Smithing today.

It's called a Flameburst Defender pure, kid. Totally worth it and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I got 97 Yesterday and 98 in 1 day, because I am ownage. Those are 25 Effigies at 45k each which got me a lot of exp. In the process of doing these Effigies I got a lot of Farming Effigies and got this: And I ownaged it up with many experiences: And then later today I did this with my charms: Oh and earlier this week while Dunging with Asa I got this: Unfortunately, I am going back to school on Wednesday and won't be able to scape. So, I will probably be getting 99 Slayer sometime in May/June.
