Kayle's Sling is a two-handed Ranged weapon. It requires 1 Ranged to hold and doesn't require ammunition of any kind, as rocks are picked up off of the ground.

 

It offers a +6.5 ranged strength bonus and a +5 ranged attack bonus. It has the same speed as a shortbow. This item is very popular due to the fact that no ammunition is required, introducing many new players to the ranged skill. If lost, it can be re-obtained from Xenia, outside the Lumbridge Catacombs, along with the other Cultist's weapons. It should also be noted that pures can get one by starting the quest, grabbing kayle's sling and then go outside without completing it.

 

It is a good training weapon, because it's free and it has better Ranged Strength than iron and bronze knives, although it's slightly slower and is a two-handed weapon so many players prefer to use knives anyway. It is much more useful in free worlds, as it has attack strength near to bronze arrows but without need for ammo, thus ideal to be used at weak monsters to train. A good full ranged armour is recommended though to compensate the low accuracy.

 

TL;DR: This thing hits rapid 8's and 9's, it's unlimited, and it's free

 

You get it half way through the Blood Pact Quest (around 5 mins)

 

Note: don't finish the quest unless you want 100 defence exp!

As a pure with 68 range, very poor, and f2p, I find this to nice.

I just got it and the Caitlin's Staff which acts as a Air Staff with +1 better mage Attack bonus but -1 Mage Defense bonus.
