Opening clans

I think alot of old-schoolers will come back and realise their old clan aint reopening and will join a potential contender for the top #3 or something. Also a few clans may be opened most likely nothing special though.

People just need to be more tolerant and not judge someone based solely on their spelling. Anyhow, I know its an exciting time to be apart of this community, or any Runescape community for that matter and that hasn't been the case for a long time so I'll take your question seriously;

I think that this changes a lot; JaGex played a huge card by pulling the wilderness, free trade, staking and basically everyone hated them for it. Whats even more surprising to me is that they've gone back on their action and have given us the option to re-instate these things. That's fantastic and I think it will bring people back, at least temporarily - whether they have the same level of engagement or not is unpredictable. With any major update there's a transition period and just because we're going back to how Runescape used to be - doesn't necessarily mean that transition period doesn't apply. Three years is a long time and the culture of the game has changed - Its going to take months for players to feel comfortable. The short-term result will be a lot of new clans and PK teams popping up. Smaller, lower leveled clans will now be able to exist and won't spend their weekend being slaughtered by larger clans because there are so few places to hide.

Overall, I think the Pure Community has the most to benefit from as a lot of existing players without pures will choose to start new accounts dedicated to PK'ing and staking, simply because its easy, cheap and more engaging than having to deal with the huge amount of armour and weapons that now plague high leveled main accounts. Our fights are shorter, operate at a faster pace and require less GP - there will always be an interest in the pure community, we just have to keep working on it to ensure we allow it to expand.

Expect to see clans being created, or reborn - I don't expect them all to survive long, but I do think the volume of pure accounts in the wilderness and in clans will increase.

So the only decent post I've seen on the forums in 12 months gets trolled. Sickkkkk.

I think the big problem is, the wilderness may not (I'm not saying this is fact) be as fun as we all think it is, especially with the changes made to the game and the "culture" which Retro bought up. There's going to be a heap of no honour, there always was, there's going to be this damage soak **** as well which sucks!

Another good point brought up. The new changes to the game may not mix well with this new wilderness update.

Also hot spots such as hill giants and Varrock Wilderness may no longer be hotspots and we might find ourselves only pking in Edge and around where Bounty Hunter was (hopefully was).
