Help with leveling my mage?

Hey guys, I just came back to RS after a reallllll long time because I heard the wild was back. Not sure if anyone I used to play with even plays any more. Used to be in TLP years ago...

 

Well.. I have around 4 mil on my pure with 77 mage and 80 range.. old pure got banned while I was gone and i'm not sure if I can get it back yet. I have ancients already to go on it and all but I want to get 82 mage before I think about joining a clan, and I was wondering what the best/fastest/cheapest ways for me to do that are. If people are still alching for mage xp, what items should I use? Tips? Anything helps. I appreciate it.

Yes people are still alching for Mage exp (Maple long (u))

 

Or you stun+alch (80 mage) at the same time, there are some guides on youtube, gl getting 82 mage :P

Thanks.. I honestly dont remember much about alching though.. I just buy regular maple long (u)s and alch them then buy more? Its funny how much I forgot about everything else in the game except for pking so far..

Alching is fairly cheap now.

 

I'd suggest alching, or stun/alching after 80 for faster exp.

 

Bursting rock lobs is always nice too, but is pretty costly.

Alching, only a very small loss to 94 with the current prices :)

Alching last item i knew for alching that was decent was gold bracelets.

 

Super heating is ver small loss and depending on your smithing level you can make profit i think it's 45mage xp per heat and some smithing xp.

Super heating is alot more hassle to do though. Alching is faster.
