Hello, Many of you will have noticed that the forums here were set to "Offline" for a few hours today, this is because we were migrating Pure Warfare to a different server. Due to the amount of traffic we receive, Pure Warfare simply couldn't cope on a VPS (Virtual Private Server), so we needed to upgrade, and rather then get a better VPS which we'd only have to upgrade a bit further down the line we decided to get our very own Dedicated Server instead. This server is far better than what we were using before and will hopefully sort out some of the server issues we had before. We're constantly trying to change PW and expand, this change will hopefully help us get there a lot easier! Regards, Karl

I saw it like 2 weeks ago and died a little inside. Christmas is crap.

Imo, it's too clogged with useless features. It just feels sluggish because of the amount of Ajax, so you can never see if the boards are actually doing anything.

Hello, It came to my attention that many of you were having issues whilst browsing Pure Warfare. Due to the fact that no major files had been changed I had to do a fair amount of research, firstly, people couldn't register or change their usernames. A few people were getting debug errors, and the servers' resources were being eaten up, causing slow loading times and causing PW to often become inaccessible. I believe this issue has now been 100% resolved. The problem was, our forum software. Version 2.3.6 is now a legacy version and is no longer supported by InvisionPower, but because you guys prefer this version to the newer ones we've decided to keep it for so long but because it is an old version I have found out that it is not compatible with any version of PHP higher than 5.2.17 and since we were running 5.3.8 the last couple of weeks many things simply didn't work. I have since rebuilt Apache once again to use PHP 5.2.17. Hopefully no one will have anymore problems, if you do however, contact me as soon as possible. Regards, Karl

Okay, I can confirm that the issue was caused by PHP 5.3.8. Thanks for bringing this up, if you have anymore issues drop me a PM.

Apologies for the troubles you've been having. I've just tried and I can confirm that the same happens for me. We've recently moved to PHP 5.3.8 and after a fair amount of research I've found out that there are a lot of issues with IP.Board 2.3.6 when running on anything higher than PHP 5.2. I'm going to rebuild Apache with PHP 5.2, hopefully that will get rid of such errors.

Okay, I have a little bit of spare time but I'm short on ideas. What tools would you like to see created using PHP? This could be something to help clans, or to help you calculate things in-game, etc. Just throw out some ideas for me :)

Hello, Some of you may have noticed Pure Warfare intermittently being inaccessible. This is due to myself recompiling Apache and PHP in order to load a module called mod_deflate. This compresses all the content from Pure Warfare, meaning web pages are far smaller and load a lot quicker. On average web pages are now 80% smaller in size. Hope you enjoy the change. How can you say skyrim when it's a completely different genre? Also, I've heard even worse things about BF3.

What do you all think about it? Personally, the campaign was really good, I enjoyed it. It was always action packed and there was a decent variety. However: Spoiler: NOOOOOOOO SOAPPPPPP, glad you finally kill that son of a ***** Makarov though As for Multiplayer, I was pretty disappointed when Infinity Ward announced it wouldn't have a system where you went against bots, like in BLOPS, that was the only decent thing about BLOPS. The maps in the game are all packed with random things making it impossible to find a decent sniping spot. Random trash cans, cars, and other stupid objects just makes the maps feel cramped, plus you can't jump on top of anything like the other COD's. MW3 just has what I call "rabbit runs" everywhere, so you can't do anything except run around them. I'm also disappointed with the online gameplay, perhaps it's just my connection (xbox hooks in to my laptop via ethernet then I use my laptops wireless to the router around 20 metres away through 4 or 5 walls.) but I can only play HCTDM otherwise I can never kill anyone. I'll give it another shot when I get my new router, if I'm still not happy I'll probably just switch back to MW2 because at least you could snipe and there was more freedom. What's your opinions?
