  1. Might be a better idea to start a new clan with a new name, since the original Valiance has different founders and some of your graphics are from the original. http://z11.invisionfree.com/Valiance/index.php?
  2. With that in mind, joining MM is probably the best choice as they are clearly #1 F2P at the moment. You can always spy on them for an auto accept into other clans if/when they slump, and if they don't then you'll still be in a top clan.
  3. Adapt or die, this is the way of the pure.
  4. Friends: 5/10 - Can make friends in a clan you join, but it's always nice to join a clan that your friends are in already. Reputation: 9/10 - This was important to me in the past, but reputation in the clan world nowadays is all about how much propoganda can be spread by their rivals. Level Average: 2/10 - Not very important as long as the clan is able to pk together in the wilderness. Defence Average: 5/10 - Wouldn't particularly want to join a clan with a lot of 20+ defence but not overly fussed either seeing as most top clans bring mains now. It's impossible to get the true defence average of any pure clan anyway as defence isn't ranked on highscores and not everyone is P2P so the adventure logs average isn't accurate. Defence Maximum: 0/10 - A clan can have it's maximum accepted level as 30 defence and still have everyone in the clan under 10 defence. The Look: 8/10 - Would prefer to join a clan with sophisticated forums and a nice look about them rather then a clan that looks like as if it was founded on RSB.
  5. Good luck with the new req's, but aren't they pretty high for your membebase? It just seems it would be a better move to lower reqs until you gain more members and then move up from there.
  6. RIP Epidemic, you achieved a lot in the time you were open. Best of luck to everyone. Edit: Removed quoted bait.
  7. You said yourself that you didn't have permission to use it, and Pat has said that he has not allowed you to use it either. Not sure what we're debating here but if both parties have acknowledged that you weren't allowed to use the banner then isn't it simply a matter of removing it?
  8. Most of the replies here are representative of why the pure community is in such a bad state. Don't have anything against EOP but ripping a banner is pretty pathetic and should be dealt with by other leaders if Goop isn't willing to address the issue.
  9. It looks like its ex-E rather then EOP. Also why block out the name on the picture? That just makes it easier to find out who leaked.
  10. Best of luck to ex-E members, you guys achieved what no other clan has recently in the amount of time you were open. Raed like the first 5 pages and honestly the trolling/flaming is pretty pathetic, especially by MM, it's what is killing the clan world and why it is such a bad environment to be within.
  11. Just compromise and have corrupt off and 1 def armour only, like the good old wars.
  12. If it's going to burst out of nowhere then every reply on this topic will be wrong, as noone will know until it happens! No idea, maybe a new clan that is made suddenly taking on the top 4 or something.
  13. Some of what you said is true, but it's not a good idea to make a low level clan just for the sake of it. It will be destined for failure. I mean if you look at the current low level clans, they either pull a very small number of people to trips/events, have a large amount of 10-20 defence members or have a bad reputation in the community. A new clan with good leadership and dedicated members would be great but the effort needed to put into making that work deters people from doing so.
  14. Thanks for the advice to those who posted, I think I'll stay clanless for a while whilst training to join a mid/high level clan because it wouldn't be fair to join a low level clan only to move on once I have higher stats. If I find that I cannot continue training or it will take a very long time, I'll consider joining a lower level clan for a few weeks/months to see how it plays out.
  15. Good update, will be a lot easier for people to change their names now. Just need to be careful that people who abuse this feature are dealt with swiftly.
  16. Sorry delete/close topic, didn't realise you already had this feature implemented. e: Nope was just added, thanks Karl, good update!
  17. Is it possible to add a name change option in the user controls, with the option to change your display name every 30 or 60 days? This would relieve a little pressure from admins having to do this and allow users to change their names when they want to without having to post a topic for it or messaging admins. To stop people abusing this privelage to flame or troll individuals/clans, the admins could impose a rule where they can change the display names to something agreed to by the staff if the display names are derogatory. I'm not sure if the avarage PW user would want a randomly generated number as their display name for a month or two as punishment for a temporary flame/troll.
  18. Pk trips - Shows clan consistancy and allows them to improve on their organisation and communication. Different clans prep for pk trips in different ways so not every clans' progress can be tracked in the same way. Full outs - Doesn't show what a clan is capable of on a week to week basis but it does show what a clan is capable of doing when motivated and after a considerable prep. This can be great for finalising a rivalry and can promote clan growth if the leaders are smart and use the motivation/moral boost from a full out war to improve their clan. For a clan looking to achieve long term goals I think pk trips are the way to go, the experience you gain leading a clan in a pk trip is way more beneficial in the long run compared to the experience gained from a full out war. A healthy mix of both can really bring a clan a long way though, neither should be ruled out completely.
  19. I'm interested in joining a pure clan, but as of now my pure is in training and does not meet the requirements of any mid/high level clans. I'd like to know the community's opinion on whether I should join a low level clan or wait it out until my stats are significantly higher and join a mid/high level clan. Please post reasons as to why I should or shouldn't join a low level clan and suggestions of the said clans if you think I should join one. I should be 60 mage and range within a few days, and then will continue training up to 70+ or 80+ stats. Thanks
  20. Having fun, making some bank loot and maybe winning a run in or two. It's possible to lose the majority of run ins during a fight and still have fun, just depends on your clan mentality.
  21. In 2009? Has to be Epidemic, they went from being a mid level clan competing with 30-40 people turnouts to taking on the top clans. Don't think any other clan achieved as much in 2009.
  22. Pretty interesting concept, I think this will be a great success for all the 'watchers' who make bank loot from the sidelines.
