    Question about 40 Defence

    If a clan accepted 40 defence, they couldn't advertise or post trip topics on Pure Warfare.

     

    Just sayin'.

     

    We should have done this, but for 20+. maybe we could have saved the world (of runescape).

     

    EDIT:

     

    People today have lost the definition of "pure". Pure implies that it is perfect. No imperfections. Thus, two defence is not pure. Pure would mean ONE DEFENSE, because there are no impurities.

     

    I hate the terms "barrows pure" and "rune pure" because those aren't pures. Those are PKers. There's a difference between a pure and a pker.

     

    Pure will always mean 1 defense to me.

    Flame Wars

    Unfortunately, most of this community is not able to see a flame directed at themselves or their clan, and not retaliate. It's the "last word" effect - everyone needs to have it, which leads to a never ending cycle.

     

    As staff, banning and deleting is all we can really do. The real solution to the problem is the Clan Leaders. They have the control over these users. Unfortunately, the clan leaders are the root of the flame these days, so there's no end in sight.

     

    Until they step up, the staff will continue to ruthlessly act on flame and idiocy. If you find another solution, contact me.

    This is utterly stupid. You purewarfare people are taking **** too far. it isn't up to you to decide which clan wins or loses on the battle field when your not even fighting? both clans like to say they won, because they returned and died, wasteing supplys, and if you admit a defeat, thats like it all going to waste. this is a \******/ rule, and shouldnt be made to follow. as long as botch clans are nice about it on their topics, it should be fine. Maybe rules like this is why PureWarfare is short-staffed?

     

     

    You're what's wrong with society. The main idea of my entire topic was that the purewarfare staff will not take responsibility for deciding winners and losers. Think carefully before you go into battle, keyboard warrior.

    Why are you making so much work for yourselfs? You need to think this through lol. What are you going to do, spend every weekend deciding which clan wins? Clans have different viewpoints on things, it's not just 1v1s, clans get crashed, there are clusters in which all clans can genuinely think they are winning. And what is "claiming a win", When clans get crashed people drop a hint in a video or a topic "we had slightly more than them before X clan crashed", isn't that claiming a win. Your gunna have to scan all the topics and make sense of it. Why not spend the time either in your respective clans, doing something constructive, or IRL?

     

     

    Read the OP thoroughly before you post on my topic sounding stupid.

     

     

    The point of this was to tell you all that we want nothing to do with clan wars. PW does not want the responsibility of deciding winners and losers in these disputes. We believe that clan leaders, at least, should be mature enough to settle a matter before it even reaches Pure Warfare.

    What if you have sufficient evidence and they don't..? This has happened to us the last 2 weeks and we have given evidence to Karl once he has asked and nothing has happened..? I also spoke to suicide who said he would talk to Karl and Omni but I never heard back on that :s

     

    We've been saying this sense we've opened: Pure Warfare is nothing more than a community. We are your home. We are not the rulers of the pure world, nor do we want to be. It is not our job to review war footage and declare a winner. We are not judges. We simply allow YOU GUYS to broadcast yourselves.

     

     

    So you why is there a topic saying they'll lock topics if it includes false information..

     

    Because that would be a situation where we're not asked to judge the situation. Is something is false, we'll remove it. But we're not going to decide clan war winners and such.

    Lately we've had a lot of situations where two clans post a topic about the same war, both claiming to have won. Naturally, such disputes do arise. However, do not post a results topic on this forum until the results of your war are understood. If both clans think they won, the leaders should discuss it amongst themselves and decide what you'd like to do. If you can't reach an agreement, don't post.

     

    If I see another situation where this happens, the two leaders who posted the topics will lose their ability to post topics in this forum. I imagine that will irritate you immensely.

    We do like playing. We just don't like "training." No game should expect players to do the same thing for 200+ hours.

     

    It's not like you have to spend your time training all those 200 hours at once... My account is 6 years old because I trained everything legit in my free time. I refuse to contribute to an already failing economy by botting, and I respect other players by not crowding up training locations with some ****** bot.

     

    Is it really the worst thing in the world for you guys to actually spend time achieving a stat? Training is half the game, and you only have to do it once. After that, PKing will forever be available to you.

     

    Seriously, if you can't focus on a simple java game for even brief amounts of time, just quit

     

    Your argument for what I said is "You can do it over a 6 year span!" That's my point. I don't want to spend 6 years playing this game EVERY DAY in order to play the parts I want to play.

     

    I can focus for brief amounts of time. The 30minutes I spend pking every week or so, I can. 200 hours to get a 99 isn't a brief amount of time. Excuse my life, but I don't have time for that.

    I've decided I probably won't be running Parallels. Mostly because I realized that Eclipse is cross-platform and I can use CodeBlocks for C++, so I don't think I'll need Windows OS.

     

    I use Colloquy for IRC. Can't use scripts or anything but it's whatever.
