Yeah good work Tyler may have forgotten that part. The limit on the max number of connection for Swiftkit:Mac has been increase to a hell of a lot, so there shouldn't be any issues with that. The next best thing is to use a program called Textual. It is OS X only and is just plain awesome http://www.codeux.com/textual/ we are looking into integrating it with Swiftkit Mac. go start > programs > accessories > system tools and run Disk cleanup then select your usb.

Do you have full admin access? if so after you delete swiftirc.ocx right click swiftkit.exe not swiftkit-rs.exe and go run as admin. This in theory should make sure that the launcher can write to the folder. if that fails try running the installer again (don't bother uninstalling) this should fix and bogus registry entries if that then fail try going Start > Run and type: regsvr32 "c:/program files/swiftkit/swiftirc.ocx"

Sounds like you have a problem with the portable hard drive drivers. I would try looking for an update.
