Arrow, I'm not sure how you got all of that from a topic about trying to petition Jagex to allow rollbacks for pure account hackings... :ermm: But thanks for your thoughts nevertheless. I do think defence is a pretty big problem, but that's a personal opinion and it doesn't really have anything to do with what this topic is about lol. Anyways, just an update- some spastic mod locked my topic, then I e-bitched him out in another topic so he moved it for me but then forgot to make it visible, then left it locked. So now I'm waiting for it to be unlocked, RuneScape.

I like a lot of what you said, but unfortunately a lot of this is up to individual clans and as such, nothing is going to get done. This community is a dying one and people don't seem to realize that. That being said, there probably are a few things we could do (not as PW but as a pure community) to stop how **** things are, but most of them would involve answers that clans wouldn't wanna hear. I'm about to head off to class, so I'll slap a textwall up here later on depending. Hopefully my ******* rs forums topic gets unlocked, dat rs customer service

I genuinely appreciate all of the constructive replies on this topic; it means a lot to me and to the pure community as a whole. I also thank those who've posted stupid, baiting, and pointless posts- for you guys are making it very easy to see the problems that exist within our community today. Perhaps instead of highlighting the problem, you guys could join the rest of us in working toward some solution. Trust me, it doesn't have to be this way. I remember a time when honour was one's greatest strength... etc etc

For the last time, this isn't about my friend and it's not about one clan specifically. It's about changing something for the better, something that could one day have an effect on all of us. And for your information, I don't go around laughing at anyone so you can hop off my **** :thumbsup: @Nippon, the great majority of the RS community aren't pures (especially these days) so it's not like they'd be receiving thousands of requests.

I like that idea, but I don't really see how you can favor that but not support this. That would be a great mechanism for putting this into action (barring the potential abuse by people who do quests and then train their defence downwards...), but eh. However they end up configuring it, any sort of way to correct a hacked defence level would be a helpful one.

This is how I feel. Sorry about Ughaz's account though Not necessarily him. But the concept should definitely be unanimously wanted. This is precisely what I'm talking about. I'm not making reference to that time Solo got hacked or the times when MM members have been hacked or when x clan's TS got ddosed or when Malice's forums were deleted or when x spied on y and hopefully you get my point. This is about the pure community, it's about something bigger than us. Sure I want to see my friend get his account restored- hopefully you guys feel the same. But I feel the same way about your friends, about that EOP member or that Zenith elite. Just because we have these stupid (but usually enjoyable) rivalries separating us, we don't have to hold invisible grudges against each other just for being a member of this clan or that... It's the stupid things that have torn the RuneScape community apart, as well as our own. If we can't set our differences aside on something like this, then nothing is going to change in this community. And for once, we should take after JaGex and actually start changing things around; because the current formula for this community is ruining us. Regardless, this isn't MM calling for help or me asking for a favor. I'm talking about supporting the community that we're all a part of (whether we like to acknowledge it or not). And besides, it's not like we have a good chance of getting this approved anyways. But just imagine what would happen if we did, if we could actually be united behind something for once. I know it's far out there, but it's worth the thought.

You generalize everything and you make everything about you. So in turn, you just treat other people like **** to try and fulfill some distorted sense of self-purpose that you clearly lack. Regardless, I wasn't the one laughing and neither were the majority of my clanmates; we're not the same clan that we were a year ago, three years ago, six months ago, yesterday. To think that way would be to continue the cycle that's brought PW to this point. If another clan had called for help, we'd obviously swoop in to help just like we do whenever any pure clan's TS gets ddosed on any given weekend. But in this topic, I'm not asking you to help my clan and I'm not asking you to help me- I'm talking about the community in general. You'd have understood that by now if you read my post instead of wasting your time trying to come up with ways to spur on arguments, some elite member you are. OT: for those of you who have contributed, your help is much appreciated.

This isn't about your clan and it's not about some stupid rivalry; not everything revolves around you Walli. It's about making a change that could do something to fix this pure community and the attitude that surrounds it. Our clans have had a history of stupid **** going back to before I started this game (last year), but none of that goes into this post. If I had wanted to call you or your clan out, I wouldn't have done it with a topic like this. Feel free to go ahead and draw attention to yourself and this topic, but it's not going to do anything to influence the fact that this is something that the Pure Community should be united on- if nothing else, at least this.

Refer to my last post, I'd have just as apply supported a topic in regards to that as I would this one. Just remember that unfortunately, it often times takes something having to hit close to home before you can come to understand the true immensity of a problem. That being said, there really should have been a topic like this even before that, for the MM applicants that were hacked before that fiasco went down, but again that arrow didn't fall so close to me (lol rs reference :DD:D:D:D) OT: I appreciate it.

I didn't post this as a means of creating arguments about who hacked who and why. Unfortunately, hackings generally draw retaliation and I'm not saying I think that's a good thing- I clearly don't and that's why I wrote up the post. If something like this were to actually be introduced into the game, we wouldn't have to worry about stupid incidents like this or retaliations, and I think it would do the game and us a whole lot of good. I also added the idea of a combat XP level lock, because in the over 9000 years that RS has existed they still haven't figured out this idea by themselves- so I figured we could tell them about it. Do us all a huge favor, and if you're a massive roller then get your +1 on RS forums style and pledge your support to an idea that could make RuneScape more ownage for us all! (besides, it's not like we have anything better to do other than argue about defence etc etc)

In about a year (probably a bit less) the pure community as we know it's gonna die, and barring Jagex actually allowing pures to still exist (following whatever the combat update's gonna be), there's gonna be a ressurection of the pure community and that's gonna start with low level pure clans. So I obviously really like them, and I've had some of my best times on this game with them :thumbsup:

Not pointless, just not realistic. I'd love for it to happen though. And although I'm excited for the rs2006 thing, I'm not about to put my faith in a private server... (not that I trust Jagex either)
