You really can't get hacked with your IP address unless you clicked some sort of link. If you are new to pure clanning then i'm guessing you clicked something through an IRC PM, a Ventrilo or TS PM, or a Youtube link. I think they have a account security guide somewhere on these forums but don't quote me on that. Be on the look out and be more careful next time.

Does this not make you cocky as well? Kinda contradictory I would try out Zenith because I have been in it for 2 years and love it, the community, the fact that is balanced in both f2p and p2p as well. if you don't like it try others! Good luck in your search!
