Member, in negative the leader doesnt bother doing much so the other ranks have to work harder to compensate for his slack, a member just sits back and relaxes.

Council - because you can still be a part of the 'clan ranks' and slack slightly, just posting on forums, etc.

I've always liked the 'Lieutenant' rank but not many clans have that anymore.

But seriously, it depends on the ranks in the clan. In a bigger clan I think I prefer experienced, while if I were in a smaller clan I would probably prefer a leadership type of position to help to the best of my abilities.
