2nd September 2009 - Personalised Shops As of today, shops in RuneScape are now personalised for every player. The amount of stock you see in each shop is now unique to your account and, therefore, no longer affected by the actions of other players. This has a number of advantages: Most importantly, it allows us to relax the price limits on the Grand Exchange. For somewhat complicated reasons, it means it is safe for us to drop the minimum price for many items, and raise the maximum price for some items. This means many items will no longer have their price set against an artificial limit, allowing prices to move more freely and better match player supply and demand. Similarly, many items that are popular for high-alching have had their lower limits relaxed to make the Grand Exchange work more smoothly. It means shops no longer have to offer unlimited stock to meet everyone's needs. Because each player sees their own stock, we can put in more realistic stock behaviour, where the stock (and price) goes up and down as you buy and sell, without worrying about one player buying out all the stock and depriving everyone else. Unlimited stock has weird effects on the economy of the game, and getting rid of it is vital for being able to relax the Grand Exchange price limits. Don’t worry, the stock is still very generous and should be plenty to supply ordinary play – particularly for items that you might need in greater numbers (e.g. arrows, runes and other consumables will be available in higher quantities than items like armour, tools and weapons). Shops may now be more worth selling your items to. A general store will never be full of other players’ unwanted items and specialist stores may offer better prices when they are low on stock. This means they are more useful for converting ‘junk’ items into cash, because each player has their own separate allowance for how much they can sell into the shop before the price drops. With this personalising of shop stocks, we realised that it would negate some of the rewards earned from the Varrock and Karamja Achievement Diaries, so we’ve substituted them for other rewards. The majority of Karamja diary’s easy reward is that you get better prices from Karamja’s shops. We couldn’t take this reward away without replacing it, so we have added Dell Monti, a pirate with a passion for pineapples, who will freely share his fruity bounty with you on a daily basis (if you are wearing your Karamja gloves). Varrock diary’s smaller reward regarding shop prices is replaced with a greater possibility of obtaining skull sceptre parts from creatures in the Stronghold of Security, as well as doubling the charges it has if you make it while wearing your Varrock armour. Please note that the reward for buying battlestaves from Zaff while wearing Varrock armour has not been affected by this update in any way.

There was a load issue on the server, this has now been resolved.

As suggested by a member, Tyler. I have coded a custom BB Code for you all to enjoy. What I've done is add HTML anchors. In order to use these, you must create the link. [jumpto=link1]Link 1[/jumpto] Produces: Link 1 Then you must link it to another section on the page. [anchor=link1]JUMP[/anchor] JUMP Link 1 will now link to the "JUMP" text. In order for this to work, the "link1" must be the same for both the jumpto and the anchor, you may have more than one Anchor in each page, this can be done by having "link2", "link3", "link4", and so on. Hope you enjoy the changes.

Just a quick news to let you all know, over the last few weeks, Omni, has been doing a tremendous job on the forums. This being said, I'm happy, no wait, I'm proud to announce that he has become our newest Administrator. He's done so much to benefit PW and will continue to do so, since he was given Super Moderator, Omni has done almost 600 actions to ensure the forums are kept clean. I believe Omni was a fair but firm Super Moderator and he will help the team greatly. So welcome aboard Omni!

No one is better than you

Over the course of Pure Warfare's existance, our members have really given it their all, and so far it's been a great success with 650 members and 23,000 posts. That's quite an achievement if I may say so. I'd just like to thank everyone for being active and making PW what it is, however, we still need to spread our awareness. So please, tell your clan members and help us to grow even further. Anyway, that's enough of blabbing on, I'd just like to say that these members have stood out greatly and the truly deserve their ranks. No one on PW can brown nose for their ranks, I won't allow that. I simply choose people who I think will do good for the community and have helped out greatly. Without further ado, I'd like to congratulate the following members: CeeJay - You've been really active and you've posted some really good responses to the threads out there. Nothing but a benefit to this community, so well done, you've been given a trial for a moderator position. Tyler - Well done Tyler, you've been an asset to the community. You've stood out among the rest of the people here and thus, you're a Senior Member, congratulations. Ryan - You've been an active member, helped out and made useful posts, definitely a perfect candidate for a Senior Member. If you haven't been chosen, don't despair, there will be more promotions in times to come! However, I regret to announce that Iced Havoc, is being demoted. Iced was on a trial moderation position, and over the course of his trial, the administrators have made a collective decision that at this time, he is not fit for the position. This is nothing personal, just a decision made between the administrators. We need active moderators, people who will moderate the site as often as they can. Once you're more active, your position may be re-instated. Frewin, however, remains a moderator - keep in mind that he is on trial as well. A big well done to everyone who has been promoted, keep it up guys.
