So, Pure Warfare. Today's my 18th birthday. Night's coming to an end and I'm wondering... what should I do? Should I buy porn, and lottery tickets? Should I smoke a pack a day? What should I do? Should I delete the jailbait porn from my computer? Should I tell you that I am NOT A ROLE MODEL. What should I do? But no, seriously. Today's my 18th and I'm curious what kinda wacky **** you'll recommend.

I'd like to try out some clan activity. My account's stats are currently: Combat 50, Attack 40, Strength 70, Defence 1, Prayer 1, Mage 47, Range 40, HP 58. Looking for a decent low level clan, just to have fun in. Not entirely sure if I want to join a clan, but I'd like to see some options. I'd prefer one with a few people who I know from PureWarfare. I don't plan on being incredibly active. I'll post on forums occassionally, and attend trips when I can, but I'm not going to be a die-hard member, so keep that in mind. Between real life and pure warfare, I don't want to make a commitment. If I do end up applying for one, I won't moderate anything in the Clan category which relates to my clan - just to prevent bias claims. Please give me a little information about your clan if you're going to recommend it, put don't paste a pre-made recruitment post. Thanks :)

I feel like it was more or less a result of the wilderness changes. When clans lost the initiative to be respectful and maintain their reputations in the wilderness, the members lost that initiative in the community.

I agree, though I have more of a problem with it in everyday life than just the boards or IRC. Whenever I type, whether it's a text-message, board post, or whatever, I do my best to type correctly. You can ask anyone; my texts are almost always complete sentences, with punctuation. I just think it's proper, and intelligent. I try to do this on the boards too, mostly because I'm an admin, and I'm supposed to be representing the community and setting examples. Granted, I do slip (a lot), on IRC, just because it's a lot less formal, and it's group chat. More on topic, the name calling has to stop as well. I think I do it very rarely (correct me if I'm wrong), for the same reasons as I type correctly. I prefer to come off as intelligent. Unfortunately, we'd be tyrants if we warned users for minor namecalling, and there's always a "he did worse" argument. I think more than anything, you should act properly just for your own dignity and image. If more elaborate text filters need to be put in place (ones which contain regex functions do detect filter evasion), I can work on that. However, it should be left to member maturity. I really respect that you addressed this issue, because it's one of the little things that so many people overlook.

The thing is, if we take action on spam, we get complaints of being too strict and being tyrants. We let some stuff slide, and we get complaints of being biased towards the spammers... Post requirement in order to create topics is a decent idea.

Another good point. By now, people should know that Jagex never emails members. Ever. So auto-delete any emails you receive. This isnt true anymore, they started recently. You can now recover your password via e-mail. I also think they e-mail you about other things as well. If this is so, I assume it's safe to assume that the email address will always contain something like @jagex.com or @runescape.com.
