If you must upgrade and that's your budget it's "decent." Otherwise I'd advise saving up and getting a better video card, DDR3 is pretty old.

Would this be used for gaming? If you're not going to use it for heavy duty tasks, 4GB of ram will suffice (try to get G. Skill/Corsair and make sure it will work with your motherboard), I'd also suggest swapping out the GTS 450 for a GTX 550ti, i think its around $20-30 USD extra. Edit: Fixed some stuff.
