  1. A guild (German: Gilde): A lasting legacy. A clan is a group of people united by actual or perceived kinship and descent. I'll tell you this; If I were actually related to anybody with the IQ of a half dead fish I'd probably hang myself, or cry myself to sleep every night c: Good logic though Anthoni, you make it sound like the word "guilds" is ONLY planed for games such as WoW, when it's used in; Tera, Dragonica, Lineage, SW;TOR, Diablo, and a crap ton of other MMOS. You know what I meant, and it wasn't meant to be taken so seriously. I can see that my comment has hit home though. But you're related to something much more useless and less of an IQ, your long distant cousin, Inu. c: =__= I understood your comment, and I was just takin' the **** a YOU, LOL. Yes your post did hit a mark however. Ya Inu is pretty bad :< /afkwrists
  2. ???? Why would this topic get locked, I am trying to start an important discussion on these forums. Problem? There's no problem yet.
  3. This thread has become derailed enough, so I'll go ahead and lock this.
  4. The handful of us, I can safely say have a passion for this community. Don't even ask me why. But putting that point aside, I do reckon we do tidy up these boards with what we're given. Sure, there are things that happen that make me raise an eyebrow or two. Nevertheless this being a community forum, it's hard sometimes to make calls, specially when certain clans, cliques, individuals feel the need to retaliate to each others petty Runescape flames.
  5. *Looks at clan tag, looks at previous posts from user, looks at posts from other EOP members* Hmm... Don't even get me started pointing fingers. 1. For the MM unbanning thing, it had nothing to do with the game, it was the gesture - If people think it's cool to spit in our faces then so be it. We gave our word on what was up, and the majority of the MM folk don't care anyways, so why bother. 2. Clan drama is indeed ridiculous, also the fact that there are boat loads, and I mean LOADS of folks who simply lack the intelligence to function properly as a human being - Does not contribute well at all. 3. Sure PW has some impact, however it is (like already regurgitated and stated over 9000 times) not up to us but the leaders. We've tried, and we've put our thoughts out there, but they were shut down without a second though. 5. DDoSing/hacking over Runescape Drama 101. I can't even put together words to say how pathetic some individuals are. I know if I were a clan leader I'd have zero tolerance for any sort of hacking/ddosing regardless of whoever it is. It is not dying it is changing, MMO's change, it's how it is, brushing aside the biggest example of an "MMO" (WoW) - Which changes nearly every other month with patches and whatnot, people play games for the community, and for the progression. As for "honor" - Let's just say this completely changed too; nowadays folks don't give a flying fudge about teleing in front of your face, and clan leaders don't give a damn too. The only time when teleing away does matter would be the most sensible time: On a pk trip. Back then the community was small enough so you knew who was who, you knew who was associated with what clan, who were his/her friends, etc. So in turn you had a reputation, today, people say "LOLL0LOLOL K0 S0NN1E!!!ONE111! REPUTATIONESZ? L0LNERD GF" This site has more of an impact than you think, saying that there is no reason for you to step in. Grow a pair, omni has already said that clans would slump if they couldn't use this site and many would agree with him although doubt they would say that out loud. Your reluctance to do anything vastly underestimates your standing in this community and that of your site, sure they could go to PC but tbh 1 word... sefket. You have the power to slump clans and if all they care about is winning they will do what needs to be done to do so, and we can hope that means that they change their ways in order to be allowed back on this site. Were not asking for much just a simple set of rules in which clans must abide, it aint like im beating children here no need to look shocked it really isn't much to ask. A select few clans would slump, they would move to PC, and STILL SLUMP. True, but it goes back to people playing for the community and progression. Who are "we" to mold people, and tell them what to do. Who gave Karl, or anyone for the matter of fact, the right to determine how anything is run in other clans
  6. Please refrain from posting like a neanderthal.
  7. Was up at bandit camps making pizzas, got killed by some level 71 in 2 shots when I was 82 combat. I added the guy and he told me he was "pure". Went around the wilderness exploring some more, then ended up Pk'ing at level 13 combat/31 combat at edge and varrock borders back in classic with the 3 hit system. (13 and 31s were the most popular low levels back then). Maxed fatigue, made it so you weren't able to gain levels. Eventually I started to make a "daddy" account, dropped my main and started training 40 attack 1 def and 70+ strength... Back then it was hell to train up a 50+ stat let alone a 99.
  8. From what I've heard.... The Archaic fight everybody c:
  9. Since this thread has zero trace of constructiveness I'll go ahead and lock it.
  10. This is how I feel. Sorry about Ughaz's account though Not necessarily him. But the concept should definitely be unanimously wanted.
  11. I understand where the victims of hackers are coming from, and you have my sincerest condolences, however, certain individuals feel the need to start beef on a thread that was meant to support something bigger than all of us. Realize that if Jagex were to actually reset defense levels a lot of eyebrows will be raised. Favoritism? "Why didn't my pure get reset?" - Ya brushing that all aside, there would be a lot of people ****** off that Ughaz got reset and they didn't. Nevertheless, this could be the spark of something big, we've all had that one account and a little bit of "perfectionism" inside of us, wanting a perfect 1 defense pure. With the ability to reset, clans would have no excuse for adamant. Jagex should definitely look through this option, we are somewhat of a "large" community as a whole, and we do unanimously make up a large portion of the Pk'ers in the wilderness. Certain restrictions should be set though... regarding, amount of time played, account creation (perhaps only older accounts can reset def... 5 + years?, etc). TL;DR- I support this on a whim because this concept is bigger than any of us, although I do recall the hackings and whatnot of various clans, which roots down to respect - a whole nother aspect that we all need to work on, this is something we should all back up. No adamant, no more mithril... No more armors above iron. Neways keep this thread constructive.
  12. The elmo of rangers has given his input. I do hope the combat update will fix things though, and I do hope it'll level out the combat field; meaning OP weapons, and OP armors wouldn't have as much effect as "skill" would have.
  13. A guild (German: Gilde): A lasting legacy. A clan is a group of people united by actual or perceived kinship and descent. 14. Here's a serious response btw: The fun is not temporary, it is when people approach it the wrong way. The wrong way meaning; basing your clan off other clans, and actually caring what other clans do. You need to have individualism, and a strong sense of leadership, a solid base in order to progress nowadays because it's hard. After the first push of hype, that's usually when people scratch their heads and go: "well wtf do we do now?" Well here's what you do, you have laughs with your members, you bond with them, you talk and screw around, you go out into the wilderness and kill stuff. It's shallow to claim or even mention the concept of "OMFG OTHER CLANS ARE RAISING THEIR COMBAT AVERAGES TO KEEL MAH KLEN AMG". Maybe certain clans are raising their combat averages to target a larger audience? Maybe certain clans are raising their combat averages to target mains, and be at an "equilibrium" combat level competitive enough to target everybody. Tl;dr as stated above, playing too close to each other isn't healthy at all, your clan needs to figure out something unique, and have it's own gimmick. i.e. Foe DOMINATE and pretty much ass rape anybody in p2p. i.e. MM DOMINATE addy <3. i.e. Archaic are huge nerd ballers that flame and own. Obvious bias is bias.
  15. It's "good" because an "lpc" is where we all get together to destroy entities. It's "bad" because people start unneeded drama. For. NO. reason. By the way I heard there are guilds now, not pure clans.
  16. Was a close one still, my neutral side says Brady is a better QB than Eli, but since I'm a Giants fan.... YEAAAAHHHH GIANTS, F THE PATRIOTS WBAHWBAHSHHAH. Ya.
  17. Thanks, best of luck on your future endeavors bud. :3
