  1. You can choose to leave negative or positive words, I've thoroughly enjoyed fighting all of the rivals I've had at Calamity and Control over the last six years so mine will be strongly positive. Any flaming/trolling/trash-talking was all in the spirit of the rivalry. Just a bit of banter boys. IR - First real rival in 2007 for CY, and then again for CT in 2011. Gave us really fun fights in the wilderness and the rivalry had a great atmosphere. Gave us most of our mini-wars in 2007 with CY and always had a bit of banter with Hotkeying in 2011. TGG - Was more of a friendship than a rivalry, had a couple full-out wars but they were all followed with respectful spamming at edgeville from each clan. I've always got time for TGG leaders because of the enjoyment they provided to the CY members by having events with us. DV - Provided both CY and FS with the only P2P-based rivalry I've ever felt passionate about. Provided us with some amazing fights and a great full-out war to end it on, DV probably just edged the P2P side but we managed to make up for it in the F2P server. UT - Were the first big rivals of Calamity in 2009, they didn't give us much in the wilderness but they were good enough to accept a full-out war which we all enjoyed. Massive respect to the leadership for giving us a good 70v70 fight. CP - Were always around to give my boys a fight with CY in 2009 and then again with CT in 2011. A little disappointed that we could never get a full-out war with you guys but we had plenty of wilderness and bounty hunter fights to make up for it. Always admired your strength in matched-opts fights. Z - Without you guys we wouldn't have had even half the fun that we did in Control. You provided us that exciting weekend-by-weekend rivalry and kept your pulls up to ours so that fights were never boring. We were actually really sad when you closed because we didn't get a many close fights as we used to. FI - Provided us with most of our action towards the end of CT, were nice enough to have a full-out war with us when no other clan would give us one. The outcome didn't really matter for us, was just a great thrill during the week and on the day. One of the best moments of the Control lifespan for me and it wouldn't have happened without you. There are many other that Calamity, Control and even Fearless had 'rivalries' with but they are not as significant as the ones listed above.
  2. are you just reversing everything rofl from what i remember you declined all preps, and a week after you declined our full out war offer you accepted one vs FI who were still in their 2 yr slump ... and you lost. CP Response to last full-out war declaration before CT closed: Outcome:
  3. CT vs CP Oh wait drunk declined all 4 declarations over 9 months
  4. The topic was asking if you regret the action of joining your first pure clan, which led to everything after it (including the good and bad times). Not rly answering the question by saying you don't regret starting but do regret not quitting sooner.
  5. You know Toxine, sometimes I damn well love you. But... He's brown
  6. Also thought I'd put this here. Was on the Music TV Channels all day every day when I used to fight with IP and AAO back in the day. Helps me remember everything.
  7. With the community on the verge of collapsing, this is the end for most of us. I quit a little while ago, but if I still played then I would be quitting right about now. We've all spent hours upon hours participating in this generally small community, weekend after weekend. At some point it stopped being for enjoyment and people just continued to fight (or not fight) out of bitterness. Just thinking about the hours you've spent on a Saturday/Sunday or even on weekdays fighting for your clan, do you regret it all? If you could turn back the clocks to the moment you joined your first clan would you do it all again? We've all gained nothing from the years spent here. There are some gains that have come indirectly and it was fun for a while but most of it was just time wasted. In all honesty, if I could go back to that moment, I would never have joined the first pure clan that I did. Pure clanning has been a strange addiction that never seemed to be satisfied, and I spent thousands of hours trying to satisfy it.
  8. Clan with fastest fingers so they can smash keyboards
  9. Kse recruited me to Insane Pures in 2006 after I posted a clan searching topic on zybez.
  10. Been tracking for about a month now, since Jagex claim all bots are gone it should be fairly accurate. Already seeing a consistent decline in players. Each 'spike' in the graph is a weekend, and each week that spike gets smaller with the most recent weekend being the smallest. Here is link, it updates at 00:00 GMT: http://controlstaff.info/playertrack.php
  11. When CP merged with SD to try and compete with us, and we beat them 39v55 on their first trip. When CP had their anniversary and rushed us expecting a steamroll, sadly they died. Running into a wall of addy at members gate and eating it. Can't find the video, but when we fought Zenith 32v43 at chaos altar and won. Good times.
  12. All of your accounts are ******* terrible in edgeville anyway, you all stopped making pures for the edgeville advantage and started making accounts for pure warfare aftermath topic advantages when you deemed 30 defence to be pure. I've fought 30 defence turmoil accounts on my 40 def turm, and they are ******* horrible. If clanning is still enjoyable then nothing has changed.
  13. R4ng3r J was more than just a leader, he was a mentor too. Wasn't the brightest of chaps but I adopted his leadership ethics and mentality.
