RS turning F2P down?

I remember RuneScape being a game that invited everyone to register and play, free or member. Sadly I don't have that feeling anymore hiscore is member-only and all this 'free bonus xp' are member-only. Personally I was F2p nearly 2 years before I made my account member WITHOUT feeling pressed by JaGeX to become P2P.

 

What will be the next to push F2P players become P2P? Or will this just slowly kill the game?

Jagex used to care about every single RS player, free or member. When I started playing more than 5+ years ago, hardly anyone I knew was P2P. You know what? Jagex probably cared less about $$ back then and more about the game itself, but with all this big money flow over the last couple of years they just keep pushing F2p players. Its fücking gay and disgusting.

 

Plus, this way the amount of 'new' players getting into RS will be limited, IMO.

Yeah Jagex are trying their best to make more money since the "Bot Nuke". To answer your question, they could make a P2P skill that have items that can be used in F2P.

Well you can't blame them for wanting to profit, lol. The game is playable F2P but is it more beneficial to get P2P - exactly how any F2P/P2P game should be.

Jagex has always cared about money even back in 2005. Despite to your belief did you know that there was a glitch

in the recovery system for a few days that allowed people to recover any account as long as you put "I'm going

to purchase membership." Its actually how a few friends of mine got some of the rare names they have today. I'm

not mad at them either for doing all of this. THEY ARE A BUSINESS. NOT A CHARITY and it becomes extremely

hard to find a good balance between caring about the players vs money when you hit a certain level of growth.

Why would Jagex remove their F2P facilities? LOTRO/WOW just switched to a F2P/P2P business plan because it brings in more revenue. They'll probably add in some more restrictions/increase incentives to become a member.

Its just pathetic how they deleted all F2p accs of the highscores , but i doubt theyll delete F2p since its the way people start this game most of the time.

Jagex want profit so they are rewarding the ones that pay (members).

Jagex only looks at money now, they dont care about the players, the care they would show for their players is wat made them stick around to eventually get p2p. They dont understand that anymore. :(

And also. I love how f2p players aren't on the highscores. When i didn't have p2p for 3 days. I had a blast in f2p cuz kids couldn't look up my 99 range/str/hp.
