Why shouldn't we adapt and get 30+ defence, 40+ defence? This is my opinion and you shouldn't consider this as a flame-bait I think there is a reason that purestyle kind of warfare became so popular, because of the disliking of mainstyle tank or runepure warfare. anyone who has been in a main clan knows that its not fun; staying online for over 10 hours for one war, literally having breaks in between for people to have a ****/pee. to sum it up: its retarded. once we keep on pushing the boundaries of defence we will lose the unique style of warring most people made a pure for.

when and how did you find out about the benefits of being a pure of some sort? I personally had a regular account in 2004 and on a good day I ventured into the wilderness with my addy longsword and cabbages for health, I stumbled upon a guy with a rune scimitar wich was amazing lootation at the time so I attacked him. I later realized that this was a stupid mistake because this person was hitting 12s with his scimitar while I did the respectable damage of 5. I obviously got owned and cried over the loss of my addy longsword, so I went back from lumbridge to edgeville to plead him to give me my addy longsword back. He bullied me and I put him on the ignorelist. Later on I decided to look him up on the runescape highscorelist, and found out that he had a formidable strength level. I asked my friend IRL that also played Runescape about this and he told me that he must've had 1 defence so his combat level stayed low whilst his other stats where boosted.
