Okay, thank you for clearing it up. I was trying to make the point that in order for any 'new' clan to get somewhere, they need to have people who know what they're doing and that the majority of these people will be ex-clan leaders or members. I believe that was the 2008 PCT Low tier final for f2p full out. My opinion of it is that it was one war, where applications remained open, that both clans were eager to win.

I really don't know how you can compare the two. Any successful 'new' clans, that will emerge now and in the future, are always going consist of a member base comprised of ex-clan members. You can't expect someone who's just made their first ever pure and opened a pure clan for the 'fun' of it to be successful - They may have had experience in a main clan but that's completely different, not to mention it would be wiser for anyone to join a clan and learn how a pure clan functions before creating their own. I'm choosing not to name names as I'd rather it not be taken as any kind of flame or flame bait. If, by the definition of 'new clan' is a clan that has recently formed under a new name then any clan can break the top 10 and be considered 'new' by simply changing their clan name, an example of this would be when two clans merge to create one and change their clans name to suit.

I'm just waiting for the "Which one is the girl-friend" post. Reminds me of a few of my, would be, friends..

No clue. Don't care. I don't believe it's about which team wins or loses, it's a community event. - either way you'll all just end up flaming eachother.

there's only like 40 people playing so there isn't much difference between the 'best' and 'worse'. Rank actually doesn't have much to do with it as it's easy to claim ranks you don't deserve (hey look, that's me). I thought it was pretty clear.. You select the number of days then you click the button.. :S Hopefully you only went on 4 days.

Do what you want to. The game should be played for fun; not for who can influence your decision and stats the most. Do what you think you will enjoy, start low and work up. Go to 50 attack, if you don't like granite mauls get 60. It's that simple. My only suggestion will be keep your stats balanced.

And such is the problem with RuneHead and the RuneScape hiscores. They only show the top 2,000,000 players. It may sound like a lot but really, it isn't. There's far too many accounts. Majority of all clan memberlist averages are 'lowered' due to attack not being ranked - this is the main issue I seem to find looking across memberlists. It keeps f2p based clans combat averages down while raising those of p2p based clans (going by the assumption that more members in a p2p based clan will have higher than 60 attack simply because it's p2p based and there isn't the desire for it as much in f2p).

Doesn't account for secondary accounts on the memberlist, if any though is interesting. Would help if you listed pulls as well. It's basic percentage, the more people on the memberlist the higher the probability the 'x' number of people will attend. If clan A has a memberlist of 100 and clan B has a memberlist of 150 then clan B is far more likely to pull the, example, target 'x' of 50 people. Large memberlists aren't necessarily a bad thing.
