  9. Netflix Price Rise Ignites Massive Online Outrage Lmfao, I prefer to just use Amazon instead. SOURCE July 13, 2011 6:47 PM EDT Netflix raised the Internet-plus-DVDs-in-the-mail plan from $9.99 per month to $15.98 per month, triggering massive outrage from movie buffs. * (Photo: Facebook.com)<br>Screen shot of Facebook fan page titled "Cancel Netflix" Enlarge Close (Photo: Facebook.com) Screen shot of Facebook fan page titled "Cancel Netflix" Related Articles Netflix price rise draws user ire, investor glee Salt Health Risk: 10 Foods to Avoid for Long Life Netflix Price Increase: Free Chinese Option Offers Newer Blockbusters Related Topics * Netflix * iPhone * Twitter * Facebook * iPad * New York Netflix has raised the price by 60%. With the new plan, its customers will get online streaming of movies and one mailed DVD at a time. The company said that the reason of the price increase is that the cost to send physical DVD disc is too expensive but customer wants Nexflix to keep that service. However the price of the online streaming-only of movie will not be changed from current $7.99. The price change will take effect in September for the current Netflix customers but it took effect Tuesday for new customers. Netflix posted an announcement on its Facebook page about the price hike at 10:22 AM on July 12th. There have been 38,440 comments posted after one day and only 791 people clicked on the 'Like' button. Sponsorship Link Image Ad BuyWithMe NYC Deals Netflix page on Facebook has 1,554,598 fans and the new price has resulted in creation of multiple Facebook pages that deliberate on the price change. A fun page titled “Cancel Netflix” has 2916 fans. Facebook users joined in the fan page posted comments such as “Why would I pay 60% more for 98% of crappy movies to stream???? Unbelievable!!”, “Already canceled”, “Cancelled today”, “Cancelling on 7/17/11”, “switching to AMAZON as of today”, “Forget waiting. Did it today” or “Cancelled my membership last night, HELLO Redbox!” were some of the caustic comments put up. The other fan page named “1,000,000 people who will not stand for Netflix's new prices” got 2473 fans who posted comment like “My account is cancelled completely.”, “Another greedy company” or “We've already canceled ours. Not going to go along with this money-grab strategy”. There is a fan page called “Stop the Netflix rate increase” supported by 1995 fans. Fan page “I used to love Netflix until they decided to rip me off” has 854 fans. “Boycott Netflix” has 588 fans. Also “I Unlike Netflix Today” has 300 fans. On Twitter, #Netflix hashtag or #Dear Netflix hashtag has become popular as people are commenting about the price change. A Tweeter user posted “#Dear Netflix I've never used you, but your rate/price increase has brought out the worst in Americans. Please stop their whining. PLEASE.” The other Tweet says “#Dear Netflix, I want to still love you, but price hike + M.I.A. Dexter is making me rethink this relationship. Why would you do this to us?” Another Twitter user told “#Dear Netflix, not happy with the price increase. This is the most arbitrary price change with no increase in services. Redbox here I come.” Last time Netflix announced a major price change was in last November. The change came with the new streaming service for $8 per month. At that time user had an option to pay $2 more for one DVD. Netflix’s vice president of marketing Jessie Becker posted a blog update saying that “we didn’t anticipate offering DVD-only plans” at that time. She said “there is still a very large continuing demand for DVDs both from our existing members as well as nonmembers”. The blog posting was up on July 12th and 8711 Facebook comments and 5000 Blogger comments have been posted since then. One of the Facebook comment with 389 people liked said that “I think you should fire your marketing department. Anyone that comes up wit ha 60% price increase scheme and forgets to NOT include even a minimal increase to the service or content at the same time to distract, confuse, bamboozle, or lie to your customers is just stupid.” Arash Amel, a research director for IHS Screen Digest, told New York Times, “the latest step in a long-term transition toward becoming a next-generation premium television business”. He said further changes to Netflix’s monthly prices should be expected in the next couple of years as the company’s growth rate slows and as it pays hundreds of millions of dollars more to license streams of movies and TV shows. Netflix said its chief service and operations officer Andy Rendich will lead a team focusing on physical DVD service from now on. Netflix expects that other executives can concentrate on online streaming service. Rendich worked as VP of Operations at Netflix, VP Systems Development at Netflix and MES Manager at Candescent Technologies earlier. Netflix’s Facebook fan page says that Netflix has more than 20 million members in the United States and Canada. The video company provides movies streaming over the Internet right on their PC, Mac, Blu-ray player, Wii, PS3, Xbox, iPad, iPhone and other devices. CBSNEWS introduced 5 alternative services so that disappointed Netflix user can replace their video services. The list includes Amazon, Hulu, Green CINE, BLOCKBUSTER and Redbox.
  10. Good job. No sarcasm there.
  11. Funny part is that people are going for it. I'll be 60 attack for life on my new account. I can't be asked with Fagex anymore.
  12. TheRock confirmed it on Twitter(only way I found out first) and he has a verified account: http://twitter.com/TheRock
  13. SOURCE With Fast and Furious being the moneymaking machine that it is, the franchise is coming back for a Part 6! AND, there's already a release date! Director Justin Lin confirmed that FF6 will be set for a Memorial Day 2013 release. The movie will reunite cast members from the previous five films, including of course, Vin Diesel, who's also producing the film. With Fast Five making $600 million worldwide, this comes at no surprise to us! The studio is making sure that the 6th installment will make even MORE money by saying that the next movie will contain the most dangerous adventures yet. Awesome! Didn't think the stunts could get any more dangerous, but we're still excited to check them out!

Our goal is to have enjoyable trips. Amazing job to Soft Pillow for leading majority of the trip! We headed out to 50 portals with about 30 people and there was nothing there. We were walking around and still nothing. After a bit, we headed to sperm hill and got word from Kruckcrusher that there were 70s and 90s at portals in world 124 and we were in world 137. We hopped to that world, rushed to the portals and cleared them up. We were a bit all over the place clearing them up and then ended up being at 13 portals and beating them. We then went back to 50 portals and hit some mains north of the castle as Dylan informed us of them. Jared(Soft Pillow) started to lead the rest of the Midweek after we beat the mains. We went to GDZ then someone scouted mains at gap, so we ran down there and killed all 10 mains. We then went back to 50 ports and went back to scorpion pit to see what's up. A few minutes later, Nektas told us that MM and SKO was massing together at edgeville so we decided to go through the portals and wait for them to arrive. MM came through BH first then SKO came by mid fight behind them to help them and we ended up clearing them both. Soon after that, a green hat team came(20 of them) from the south and we ended up clearing them as well. As time went on, we were on top of BH stairs and AZO told us SKO was east of 18 portals. We hit them and did so much teamwork and we about won until MM crashed and we didn't have a lot of food left so we left it on a high note. Video: By Nidoqueen Pictures WWW.FOE-RS.COM

  21. Site | Register | Applications | FoeTube Want to come Midweek with us? IDLE in #Midweek. Disclaimer: Midweek is open to anybody but is run by people within FOE. Our goal is to have enjoyable trips. Today was a AMAZING day. Midweek has re-opened today after being on a 37 day hiatus. We returned with our stable user base which was over 20 people. We had a lot of action right when we left dummies and headed into 50 ports. Hitting mains and others left and right. It was a lot of delicious loot with plenty of laughs on Teamspeak and enjoyment. After hopping around and checking other worlds, we hit some people at 50 portals. After all that action, we decided to go through portals and check what's up. We landed at 13 portals and BAM! tons of white dots. They all got downed in seconds due to our wonderful teamwork. After a bit we decided to go to Rogues Castle and hop worlds again. One of us on Teamspeak said to go down because there were a few people, then we went down and then seconds later so many white dots appeared(The team was called SKO) . We went back up-stairs and went to hop back to our home world since many of us were low on food and weren't prepared for a big battle. So.. after we hopped, Brian went scouting and saw them. He dragged them to GDZ and then we rushed them. It was a very good advantage for us since many of them were in a clump and we decided to barrage them a few times. We of course won and then they asked us for a prep. We gladly accepted and then fought at GDZ 10+ minutes later. We were outnumbered at least by 10 people but we slaughtered them due to our returning, teamwork and cooperation. It was a nice action day after our long hiatus. Thank you to all those who came! 23. The cast from the original "American Pie" film is reuniting for the appropriately titled "American Reunion." SOURCE I'm so glad to see the original cast back. Movies that start with a original cast then change casts suck. STORY HIGHLIGHTS * The original cast is reuniting for the appropriately titled "American Reunion" * Bigg's "Mad Love" sitcom has been canceled * He says: It's weird watching a movie that claims to be "American Pie," but just uses the name RELATED TOPICS * American Pie * Comedy Movies * Jason Biggs * Seann William Scott (EW.com) -- It has been 12 years since the first "American Pie" movie and eight since the last, 2003's "American Wedding" (unless you count the numerous straight-to-DVD films that have been released in the interim). But now the cast from the original film are reuniting for the appropriately titled "American Reunion," which is being written and directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg of "Harold & Kumar fame." We talked to franchise star Jason Biggs about "American Reunion" and whether there is an age beyond which pastry molestation just isn't funny anymore. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You recently had the first cast read through for "American Reunion." What was that like? JASON BIGGS: It was really good. It was kind of surreal being back with everybody. Not everyone was in the third movie so there were people I haven't seen since the second film. A lot of us have not really kept in touch. But these films - especially the first one -- are such a huge part of our lives, and it's this shared experience that is so important to all of us. No matter what kind of paths we've taken since, and no matter how long we go without speaking or seeing each other, it's like we get back and there's this energy that's just fantastic. Be honest, who did you hate seeing there? About whom did you think, "Oh, I'd forgotten about this dude. [Laughs] That's funny. No one. Seriously, nobody. Some of us are not really friends. But it doesn't mean we're not friendly when we see each other. I wish I could speak ill. I'll probably remember how irritating some of them are in the first week and let you know. Who got the biggest laughs at the read through? The laughs are pretty divvied up. The stuff with Eugene [Levy] and myself - the father-son stuff - is always great. There will be plenty of those scenes. There's some great stuff of course with Stifler [seann William Scott]. Finch [Eddie Kaye Thomas] and Stifler always have a funny back-and-forth. There's a lot of good stuff. Did you keep up with the straight-to-video American Pie sequels? I did not. I mean, I certainly saw they were coming out and they were making a killing for Universal. I think I watched maybe one of them. It's just weird watching a movie that claims to be "American Pie" but really it's just trying to franchise out the name. I mean, Eugene was in them so at least there was some familiarity. But for the most part it was a totally different thing. I didn't even recognize it without the original cast. But I think they made a good four or five them... 73 in all, I believe. 73? Good for them. Good for them. Is "American Reunion" going to be raunchy? There will definitely be raunch, no question. We have an "American Pie" formula which I like to describe as characters that are grounded in reality, who you put in these outlandish situations. And that happens again for sure. The thing that we have to be careful of here is, we're all a lot older. So we've got to be very calculated in what kind of situations we let our characters get into so that it doesn't go to a very creepy place, you know. [Laughs] So there's an age limit to pastry molestation? I would imagine so. Or maybe not! Perhaps it's it's one of those things you can't do between the ages of, say, 38 and 72 and then it starts getting funny again. Exactly! You become an octogenarian and suddenly pie-f-ing is fun again! What did you learn from your spell on the (now canceled) sitcom "Mad Love?" The sitcom is a very specific kind of rhythm and cadence and it's a certain muscle that you have to exercise to do it well. It was just a different style of comedy. You've got to play the jokes a little bit more. It's just different from, say, these "American Pie" films. I just had a great time working with that cast. That cast was incredible and it's a shame we won't get to do it again. I think any cast which features Judy Greer is a good one. I agree. It could be just Judy Greer and me. Well, let's not go too far. See full article at EW.com.
