  1. When Pure Warfare first opened, and Karl asked me if I was interested in helping him run a community, I never expected where we would take it. As the 15th member of the forum, with not many behind me, I never expected to spend several days reading over 25 applications sent in by active and loyal users, all who sought to advance themselves in a community they enjoy. I didn't forsee that there'd be a time when our activity became so great that I would need to promote 6 users to a Moderator rank all in one night, not to mention the multiple other promotions as well. Karl, Omni and myself butted heads over the "Moderator Applications" topic, which contained all 25 applications and a single poll question. After reading through every application, looking back on every applicant's history and attempting to consider their future, the votes were cast, our selections were explained, others were bashed, and my decisions have been made. A decision was made that it would a rash action to toss our new staff members into the PureWarfare staff; it's quite a change from being a member of the community. Rather then a Moderator promotion, the users we selected will be given a Trial Moderator rank. This will give us time to examine our choices, teach them how the Pure Warfare staff works, explain rules and how to moderate, so on and so forth. After an undetermined amount of time, these Trial Moderators will either become a Moderator, or will be returned to a Member rank (if we determine that they are not yet up to the task). It may also be decided that a Trial Moderator will fit better in the staff as an Honored or Senior Member. Senior Members Drunk Walli Ded MarK. Honored Members Chaz- Zany (Promoted from Senior Member.) Toby (Promoted from Senior Member.) Coz Trial Moderator Sniping Tyler ROOT King Inu SI13 Global Moderator Anthoni (Promoted from Moderator.) Administrator Mark (Promoted from Global Moderator.) Notes: If you applied but were not promoted, feel free to contact me. The biggest reasons we looked at to not promote someone was forum behavior history, and forum rank. We did not want to promote clan leaders to a moderator rank in order to avoid any biased actions. If you were promoted, please contact me on IRC (my nick = Jay) ASAP.
  2. After receiving 25 applications for the open staff position(s), I have decided to close the applications. At this point, it is too late to apply for a moderator position. While your Pure Warfare admins discuss the applicants and nominate our choices, take a look at this brief FAQ about the Moderator Application Process. FAQ I hope this answers some of your questions whilst you wait for the application process to come to an end. Note that we are not only promoting users to moderators. We may give a Member a promotion to Senior Member, a Senior Member to Honored Member, so on and so forth. Moderator promotions are not the only ones you should be expecting. The thing I liked most about opening moderator applications is the people who applied. There were several people that the staff were eying for a promotion that applied, and I can't say there are any applicants who I haven't spoken to at an early time. That is to say, there are no applicants that I don't have prior experience with. Feel free to post any questions you have, which may be added to the FAQ as I review the applications and discuss them with the other members of the admin team. - Jay

    WAT!?

    Is this emma watson?
  5. Applications won't be up much longer. We're at 21 applicants, get yours in while you can if you're interested.
  6. It's because Omni is a sillybilly, Coz. App is available on this topic now.
  7. Here's a few tips when filling out your application. Be honest. Don't try filling your application with things you think may think sound impressive. Be thorough. Before sending your application, be sure you've told us as much information as you could, whilst still answering the questions honestly and relevantly. Be prompt. Applications will be evaluated as I receive them. That being said, here is the application format. Copy all of the text contained in the CODE tags and open a Private Message to me, and paste the text into the message text box. The subject of the message should be "Moderator Application". Note, that if you do not receive a moderator position, you may be seen fit for a Senior Member or Honoured Member position instead. Also, by submitting a serious application, your name will be heard, and I will notice you more in the future as I see you in the community, increasing your future chances for a promotion. Notes: This isn't a job resume, so don't take it too seriously. If you're going to waste your time with a troll application, take your time and make it worthwhile, so I can share it with the staff. 8. I'm like level 26, got bored at that point...
  9. Kinda looked like a fail event. Everyone just show up at a PvP spot? No meeting spot beforehand or anything.
  10. The spam towers that clans come up with never get old.
  11. I'm sorry, champ. What're you up to? I'm browsing the forum looking for potential moderators.

    dF Sunday

Removed 26 posts from this topic and issued a warning.
  13. This forum is more for clan leaders to post their clan's weekend adventures than for a member to complain about an unsuccessful trip...
  14. He doesn't mean our own server, he means a client with IRC embedded into it - which is why we're affiliated with SwiftKit.
  15. All I know is that Milky's signature convinced me to join CP.
  16. Flame in an official topic is distasteful, and will result in a warning next time. (This applies to all future topics). If you feel that a clan isn't on your level, don't compete with them - you're not proving anything.
  17. This is a legit video on how to mod your gamertag on XBL for Modern Warfare Two. Yes, it works. I've used it myself. This is actually my video I'm posting. You will not be banned. The mod only disguises your GT. When you sign in, or invite players, etc they will see your real GT. However, when you're in a lobby or in a game, people will see the modded one. Thus, if reported for a bad gamertag, only your GT will be seen in the report, and not the modded one. Reason why I'm posting this, is to make money. The download to get the program contains an annoying survey. Do the quick survey, I make money, you get the program. Once you like it and want to show off to your friends, send them the youtube video (please!) so I can continue to make money. Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy5lle82cWY

    Help

I'm not quite sure what you're referring to - a screenshot would be a superb aid in resolving your issue.
  20. Similar to ideas we've had in the staff forums, though yours would include more content than what we had thought of - so I'm not against this.
