Hey guys. Just thought I'd let you all know that I am now officially enlisted in the United States Army. I'm in Infantry at the moment, and don't go to basic untill Jan.

 

So remember this boys. I'll be protecting your lazy asses while you sit around and scape <3

Yeah I'm shipping to Fort Bennings in Georgia for Basic. I'll probably be shipped to Germany or Japan for awhile, then eventually probably to the sand village lol.

My best friend went there last year for basic. He said it was tough, but it's all mental. If you're in good shape (which you should be if you're keeping up with your PT) then you'll be fine. He's going back in like 2 weeks for some other training.

My best friend went there last year for basic. He said it was tough, but it's all mental. If you're in good shape (which you should be if you're keeping up with your PT) then you'll be fine. He's going back in like 2 weeks for some other training.

 

Yeah thats what I've heard. I lift 5 days a week, and run 6. I'd like to say I'm in good shape. And everyone has told me its mostly mental. I'm not too worried about it. Honestly, I'm looking forward to it.

You're so lucky. I'm 23 and have been trying to enlist since I was 18 as a 19D Cav Scout. But from age 14 to age 17 I got 3 Felonys and 7 Misdemeanors. I thought it wouldn't be held against me since it was as a juvenile but apparently it does. I have tried 5 times to enlist in total. Twice I got as close as taking my asfab and getting ready to go to meps only to be denied at last second. One day I'll get in and be happy. It's such an easy career move in America.

Wow I was almost a 19 delta but decided to go infantry. I was trying to be a MP or motor vehicle machanic but I am Red/Blue color deficient so I couldn't get those -.-
