A little to far Sir. I believe the wilderness is more popular because of all the variables involved in it compared to clan wars name 1 Element of surprise, fighting not 100% sure of opts, you can easily be down 5+ in the wildy not knowing and bring it back, in cwars once you see you're down 5 it's just not the same, also returning is a major factor in fights, if there were returning in cwars the bank is right there, just no skill involved.
