  1. Next we're gonna see google ads for dragonclaws and stuff ingame, lmao.

    Skyrim

I downloaded the game for my laptop, and I've been having a lot of fun playing it. That is, until I came across the console commands. Now anytime I get to a difficult part of the game, I usually succumb to the temptation to navigate around it. 1. ****, I don't wanna start this boss over... Activate invincibility! 2. Man I'm short on gold... Let me just add a few thousand... 3. How do I open this door?! I'll just turn off clipping... 4. Such a far walk! I'll just teleport... 5. Can't unlock this door! Sending unlock command... Pretty sure I ruined the game for myself.
  3. I love main pures. They have the defensive benefits of being a main as well as the offensive benefits of being a main!
  4. Moving this to the correct forum.
  5. I'm working on re-creating www.haxball.com as desktop application and an iPhone app (they would both give credit to Haxball, and connect to the website's lobbies and games, so no copyright infringement intended)

After the community's reaction to PCR, I'm 99.5% sure Karl abandoned it, mostly because
  7. Because until now, you weren't able to play for cash ;)
  8. No but what he is saying is with great power becomes great responsibility (not to sound cheesy). He doesn't agree with the fact that pure warfare "wants to bring together the pure community" but sits neutral when it comes to bettering the community. Its almost contradictory in itself to be honest lol. Quoting this because it's what I'm trying to say. @ Jay , the banning and "warning" of people flaming is a result of the silly topics that are posted. So essentially you're not really dealing with the problem, just the after-math of the initial problem. If you wanna make a change I'd suggest stop allowing clans to post run-ins where 4+ clans are involved and crashing occurs. It'd do one of two things: 1 - force clans to fight 1 v 1 (they're gonna want their ego boosts on PW) 2 - flaming will be minimized because there won't be anything to argue about. Then again you can continue to support topics that show a clans "perspective" of the trip, which will be biased every time no matter what. Let them save those vids to feed their members. The community shouldn't have to see that sht. My "banning and warning" point applied to people creating silly topics as well - however most "silly topics" are actually clan warfare result topics. We can't realistically restrict what goes into those - we don't know how much of it is true or not, and topic posters refuse to take out their random flames at clans in their topics. As for the 1v1 only thing, refer to the previous topic. We can't force clans to war a certain way. Crashing is runescape now, you have to adapt to it. We tried with PCR, but clans lost interest in that because 1v1 wars aren't fun, I guess.

    Help Needed

I will give you one million geepee.
  10. We're doing all we can to help shift the community in a more positive direction. If you understood the amount of hateful PMs we get for every action we do or don't take, you'd have some idea of how hopeless the situation is. If we take action against a user for posting flame or something of that nature, they (and usually other members from their clan) immediately PM us (not just the staff member who acted, but all staff), calling us names and accusing us of purposefully targetting their clan. What they don't realize is that 95% of warnings are given out without knowing what clan the poster is in. The demand we warn other users who were involved in the flame, and claim we never issue warnings or punishments to clans A, B or C. This is amazing because there is no possible way they can see who we do or don't warn, and in most cases, the users they claim we are coddling have also received warnings to their accounts. On the other hand, if we don't issue warnings, we receive hateful PMs demanding action be taken, and everyone complains about how hateful the community is and how we should fix it. What you need to realize is that we are simply a medium through which the pure world can communicate. We do not alter your behaviors or actions - though we try to limit the vulgarity seen. You guys complain about our curseword filter, but then complain when you're sworn at. Understand that every clan has contributed to the environment you see here, and its on your shoulders to change the community into something better. It is not PureWarfare that is hateful and vulgar, it is the community that resides here. You could all jump ship and go to Pure Galaxy or whatever he calls it now, but after the initial ass-kissing subsides and promotions are no longer being given, the true light will shine. I'm sorry that we as staff do not do enough by hosting this website (Karl), and moderating it constantly. We each handle dozens of PMs each day, and it's all on volunteered time. We're truly sorry that this is the way your community has evolved, but again - we are not the community: you are. We're just the world you live inside. - Jay
  11. We are a forum through which the community is portrayed. It is not up to us to alter how the community is perceived. The pure community is exactly the way it is seen - defense, teamed fights, etc. This is the community.
  12. people are gonna be tricking others to say it now lol
  13. the BOTS fueled your INTERNET man! your INTERNET
  14. This is really unexpected. Jagex went about doing something very illegal in the worst way... and they may really hurt themselves for it.
  15. Would be helpful if you put the person's name next to their video :O
  16. Not sure what you mean. If they reset all accounts at this very moment, but the game dynamics remained the same? (You make it seem like you mean if they rolled the game back to how it was in '06-'07) If you do mean so, it's a decent question. On one hand, nobody wants to start over. That sucks. On the other hand, everyone's on the same playing field. No bots, and everyone's level 3? Makes a lot of room for being #1

    BotNuke

Neat that RS will email you a warning. I'm sure if users realized Jagex was aware of their botting, they'd stop.
  18. Jay

    BotNuke

I think it would have been smarter for them to not announce when they were going to do it... it gave the botters ample time to hoard their cash onto their main accounts, and get as much experience as they could before the drop.
  19. Jay

    BotNuke

How'd that go? Do you guys notice fewer bots and spammers in game? Any of you banned, possibly wrongfully? Wondering how successful Jagex was.
  20. Contrary to belief, a password such as "jfsIO@09!!`" is actually incredibly easy to bruteforce. A password such as "gotta catch em all" would be infinitely more difficult.
